Balls, its in the game

OK, a sidestep from me, a faithfully non Basketball fan. I kinda hated the game since high school, but that doesn’t stop me now. The New York Knicks just (last night) secured their 3 NBA victory ever and the first one since 1973. The Knicks became the NBA winners. So, its fair that we call felicitations over the lot of them. So whilst the ‘news’ reports that “New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson scored 45 points on Saturday night to lead his team back from a 16-point early game deficit and defeat the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 94-90” (source: Deutsche Welle) and it came with the additional “Hoisting the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy after the game, team owner James Dolan shouted, “I want to say something to New York. Hey New York! I’m sorry it took so long! But here we are… and hopefully it won’t take that long again!”” I reckon that New York has a lot to celebrate as New York has forever been in the light of ‘winners’ and they got one of the three most coveted sports trophies (the other are the Stanley Cup and the Vince Lombardi Trophy), but the light of victory did shine on the Knicks since last night, so they deserve their moment in the sun until the next season starts, which will be October, so they can sleep in the sun for at least a week.

The moment didn’t go unnoticed for millions of NBA fans, all whilst I snored like a baby. And with the additional “The championship is the first to be won by the Knicks (who incidentally won the first NBA game ever in 1946) since 1973 (53 years ago), when they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers. Saturday’s victory puts the Knicks in elite company, making them one of just nine teams to have won at least three championships.” So felicitations to these players all around.

I agree that this is not much news, but to the millions of NBA fans it is and we need to illuminate these less shown news items, even I, as a non NBA fan admits to this. So here it their logo to shine for as long as my blogs exists.

To all a great day and for the foodies (in respect to the New Yorkers) have a New York slice of Pizza today, because that item gets to shine as much as anything the Knicks will do it because they are all doing this with a slice of pizza. Fair is fair.
