Navy? What Navy?

I had given the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the UAE weapon ‘designs’ to take care of railways, harbours and a few other places. My setting is that this lacks expensive ordinance and I prefer the enemy to waste whatever they have in making matters worse. So this morning (whilst enjoying chicken) I had another idea. You see, ships in the harbour are fine, but what happens when these ships are galloping about the sea of Dammam? Yes, I know that it is called the Persian Gulf (but there is no need to adhere to Iranian propaganda). As such my mind came up with an idea and it could be done using a remodeled Sub Sea Baby, which is a nice Ukrainian invention. So here I was thinking of a resin barnacle and each drone would carry 20-50 of them. So when a bankable is attached to a ship it goes to work, it has three phases. The first phase is to weaken the hull with Hydrochloric Acid (HCl / Muriatic Acid) a decent solution to take care of HSLA steel. In the second stage (as the steel is starting to dissolve) a Hornet valve is pushed through the steel and it sprays a gooey substance on the inner hull. It is basically the same acid, but the paste is laced with it and the gooey substance stops it from dissolving in water and keeps on attacking the inner hull. So one is not enough, I reckon that around 20 of them spread all over the boat will turn it into a rather nasty piece of work. As the numbers of buoyancy and water displacement changes, the steel vessel gets a lovely new view from the bottom of the sea. There is of course the chance that this will not sink, but it will need to hobble into port becoming rather useless for months and as they lose their vessels to repairs, there is nothing much they can do but to hope that they are next in the repair line. This gave me the setting that there was a second blessing to this idea. It could also work on submarines. I would recommend the same solution as the inner hull is primarily designed to resolve pressure, it would actually be easier to dissolve it and when the outer hull is broken through, the inner hull might not be an object of concern any longer. I reckon that some will make it to shallow waters, but it remains just as useless a weapon of obstruction in the Strait of Hormuz. 

So is these countries can resolve the barnacle issues (like the glue that stick it to the steel hulls) and in my mind I already resolved a few settings, but I am not putting them here as many Iranians  can read English too.  So as I see it, I never needed a billion dollars in missiles. A sub sea baby costs $245,000 (10 of those sets you back less then $3,000,000). Then the Acidic solution is about $80 per liter and the barnacle has of course some construction and testing fees, but against the $37.5 billion the US claimed to have made in cost, I reckon that my solution at optional less than $10,000,000 is a breeze to any accountant and I like to be a miser when destroying a fiend of choice. They cost me enough irritation, making it also hurt in my wallet is not a preferred choice.

So consider that 10 drones could take care of most of the Iranian navy, the idea that they will suddenly cry like little girls is not out of the realm of possibilities and yet another solution to make the Sea of Dammam safe is hereby handed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. My work for today is done. I think I am going to celebrate with a cookie.
