Balancing innovation

So, after yesterday I cut the article short. There was a reason for that. I was adding what I am about to tell you yesterday, but I saw that the article was getting to verbose and that leads to people dumping all that effort I put into this (might not make sense, but that is what I found). So I kinda brushed on this in the past, but I was taking another look.

The game in question is Balance of Power, it was a cool game in 1985, but the political stage has changed. There is no longer the setting of the bad bear and the bald Canadian eagle, we have a lot more players and also technocrats. You know the grocery stores called Google (Alphabet), Meta (Facebook), Apple, Nvidia and a few more. There is also the stage of all that fake AI (OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok) and a few others and when we talk about grocery stores, we much also talk about the milkman, that wholesome concoction made by Palantir (Alex Karp) and now that the Middle East and the Gulf States are more potent players in the world influence stage. And then I had an idea. There is one setting that bothers this setting. No matter how strong we set the stage, the world is in too much turmoil. So the idea is as follows

W have an annual file and through online papers and quality papers (Reuters, BBC, CBC) and a few others, so as these organisations are set into the light their reputation if under duress though Z-Scores and it will take someone more clever than me to set that in motion, so I gathered that news (like ‘Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon and Google Just Racked Up US$160 Billion in AI Gains- But There’s a Catch’) and these articles always have an impact on the company, as such it is important to keep as close to the news as possible and whilst these players all get a monthly/weekly adjustment. That game would get a lot closer to the reality of political simulation than the original of 1985 ever was. And whilst we add the channels of internet and clouds never to TC and radio there is an impact study that could be an educational treasury for universities as well as graduated people. Interesting that others never considered this setting or the evolution of games in new directions. It is not a simple setting, there needs to be an algorithm of people, optional implementation of Z-Scores and the formulas on how to do that, with the annual files that resets the entire setting to nil (to the bare annual file) and there is an offset to corporations, countries and political players in this setting and the algorithm needs to be done close to a thousand times and in todays setting this is pretty easy, but it needs to be done every day and that is a complex setting and I admit that this wasn’t possible in 1985, but now it is a clear setting and when we leave this to fake AI, it becomes easier. You see, it is all set to data and to achieved notions, not predictions and that is where even fake AI is an achieved setting and it could speed up the stage.

There is also the considerations that media needs to be set to consideration, because if you have one source, the Z-Scores might also be negatively impacted (as in less reliable) because the setting of a target (corporation/people) becomes set to negative Z-Scores (decreasing standing) and positive Z-Scores (increasing standing), but I am guessing that this might keep the game actual and optionally factual.

So what is a Z-Score?
A z-score is a standardized measure that shows how a value compares to the rest of the data in a distribution. As such there is the setting on how is impacts. Some will say it is the wrong use of this score, but when we have the tech-dudes, we will get to a average value of these people. So far all good, but what sets the average of Sundar Pichai, Alex Karp, Mark Zuckerberg or Sam Altman? I am getting to the setting that like the old expression (from the 60s) in the dark all kittens are grey, but now in the limelight all tomcats are black as night and there is a difference between limelight and under the Lightbox. So I think I am in a good setting, but it is something that could spark its own debate. For countries another formula applies and it is almost the same but when we take political, religion and a few others settings in play, it is likely to become massively complex.

So whilst this game can absolutely be upgraded, I also wonder if this could become a real educations tool for universities and political enthusiasts (do these people exist?) So, I have not worked out all the issues, but I tend to think that this is more the business of Chris Crawford who created to original game and it should remain his IP, I’m funny that way.

So whilst we see one game to be set into the 21st there is space for loads of other games to follow that setting and that is where Saudi Arabia has an edge, I have shown in the last two weeks that Saudi Arabia has the setting to make close to 10% of the invested amount through the upgrading of the old games, because they also have these IP in their setting now and this also implies that they could also improve the programming skills of the software houses they could unleash on all that gaming IP and they could even start a wave of games for streaming systems (which connects to the idea I had for at least two years). So as the setting clear towards the end of 2026, there is now a setting of balancing innovation, because the meaning of innovation is the practical execution of new ideas that create real value and improve products, services, or processes and that is what I have been doing for years and whilst others think it is folly. I have been playing games for the better part of 45 years over a dozen consoles, home computers and PC’s. So whilst we see that some are ‘written off’ as too old, or too limited, the reality is that these games were never considered to be combinable and that is where some of these games are the next influx of gamers and that is where those Business Analysts in these gaming houses, relied on Excel, but gaming is art and I have clearly seen that for decades. So now that Saudi Arabia has the IP for dozens of games, the rest is flying behind the wheelhouse (did I use the right expression?) They are now fishing behind the nets and whilst Saudi Arabia is gaining strength in this setting others will see that their old IP could be a decent setting for the future. So far I have seen on person cash in on his IP. It was David Braben and whilst he created Elite in 1984 (BBC Micro B/CBM64) , he renewed his game in 2014 and he made it an amazing game and it was well beyond the original and others could have that same setting, but they need to wake up.

Have a great day.
