Time to poke fun

Yes, that is the starting sound, we need to poke fun at the media. Especially CNN in this instance. The cause of my actions? Well we have the article (at https://edition.cnn.com/2025/08/20/travel/abu-dhabi-world-theme-park-capital) giving us ‘Watch out, Orlando, a new world theme park capital is rising in the Arabian desert’, that is the first setting. It isn’t rising it is already here. So it is time to get to the specifics. First we get “a challenger for the crown has emerged from an unlikely place: the deserts of the Arabian Gulf. In a destination once known more for oil wealth and camel racing than roller coasters, Abu Dhabi is building an adrenaline-charged playground that could give Orlando a run for its money.” This is the first setting. It isn’t building it, it is already been built. So is this an article to ‘dissuade’ Americans to go there? They already have build the Warner Bros theme park, complete with hotel. And the guests in that hotel get a free ticket for any of the 4 theme parks, as such you need not be bored. And they are already giving Orlando a run for its money and this Political administration is showing the people there is fun to be had in the UAE, Abu Dhabi and the train gets you to Dubai in 95 minutes. 

Then it is time for some facts and we are given “There was “no question,” says Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences. The UAE capital, already home to Ferrari World, with the world’s fastest roller coaster; Warner Bros. World (built under license by CNN’s parent company, Warner Brothers Discovery); Yas Waterworld, an epic network of slides and pools; and more recently, SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi. It’s clear the emirate is emerging as the most serious challenger Orlando has ever faced.” With the worlds fastest rollercoaster, the issue of adrenaline has been set and achieved already.

Then we get “Disneyland Abu Dhabi, expected to open on Yas Island in the early 2030s, will be the company’s most technologically advanced park ever. Renderings show a shimmering, futuristic tower at its center — more closely resembling Abu Dhabi’s gleaming skyline than a traditional European castle. It will be the first Disney resort set on an accessible shoreline, located just 20 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi.” It is nice that they ‘avoid’ giving the setting that the Harry Potter expansion will be launching somewhere in the latter part of next year. I expect that Disney on Yas will launch no later than 2029, it might be 2028, as such they are a mere 2 years off the timeline. Now, I don’t have any facts on the settings. And if that is the word by Josh D’Amaro then I will concede to that, but the settings that I am seeing are to my knowledge spot on (could be fictive) and in light of the Warner Brothers expansion it my timeline makes sense. All these theme parks are on Yas Island, which is the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, making it part of Abu Dhabi (check a map if you doubt me) and it is right next to Zayed International Airport, so the tourists can shuttle right into any theme park (probably better to check into the hotel). As for ‘downtown’ Abu Dhabi, there is a need to know it, because there are more things to see in Abu Dhabi (like museums and art centers). As for shopping, Yas Island has the Yas mall. A mall so vast and complete that it only has the Dubai Mall as a competitor. 

So what gives? In this instance I am bound to point the finger at the writer Melanie Swan. I have written about Abu Dhabi several times and this article is a mere 12 hours old. So as I see it, there might be a political reason, but not a journalistically reason to write this article. But there are plenty of Monday morning quarterbacks, so to offer an alternative see below for my version of this article.

Recalling the idea

I was in a stage yesterday when I got a little too much ‘creativity’, as such two idea’s revisited me. The first was a good one, the use of AR (Augmented Reality) in malls. I wanted to add more functionality in the new IP and in part I succeeded. That idea was warped in a second setting that I also described in a previous article. The application towards real estate was achieved as I looked in the application towards Dubai, I realized that a quote in the Middle East Economy “Dubai’s residential sector saw 32 percent sales growth in 2024, reaching $99.9 billion, driven by investor interest” this implies that the 100% gives us 312 billion, now as I see it, the IP could bring at a mere 2% an added 6 billion. I use conservative numbers and this is merely Dubai. I believe that due to segmentation of the housing market the IP could be a lot more powerful. Taking in consideration places like New York, London, Stockholm, Paris, Riyadh and a few other places, the revenue becomes very interesting. This part I had figured out already. The setting had novel parts and as it could work in a 24:7 setting the larger stage is the missing of idle time and when people are drawn to a place or location.

I was considering the addition. The setting of an information stand that is in ‘always on mode’ and when people can use the setting because of the setting of any particular mall, the provider merely needs to have a stall, or an arrangement, and the screen will promote in an interactive way the availability of property. And as the mobile app looks at where you are, this could work in any place. A stall is not a requirement, merely an available screen. A mere 2% represents billions in Dubai. Likely less in other places but it will still an impressive amount and in New York City recorded over $28 billion in investment sales in 2024, this implies an optional 560 million in revenue. So the setting is worth exploring. With two screens you can cover residential and business locations in several ways. Still, this is a mere application, I was looking for innovation in my application and we can add information, but that is as I see it mere iteration. The application off the Lightbox advertisement, which is merely a media box is a setting we can see in simple ways. The innovation could be seen by setting this ad in numerous ways of advertising, but that in itself is not innovative enough. Adding isn’t enough and there is a chance that it lessens the impact. So where is the innovation? As I see it, at present I got that IP nearly maximized, but I do think more can be done. In the other IP, the setting of smart ware, the IP has enough in Malls, but there is a setting to add smart collection to the app and if we can add locations (like different malls we visit) we get additional settings and that could add a new notches on the revenue streams. But that setting isn’t enough. 

As I saw one side, I also saw the side of a darker collection/distribution setting. One that does not get ‘governmental’ approval. But the mind does no distinguish that, the mind merely wants to expand the IP it created and expand on it. Perhaps it is not a good idea, perhaps it is. In a world where they are setting on greed and whilst these captains of industry all hide behind their AI and leave revenue on the ground, I found billions in revenue, but how to collect on this? The problem is that most Americans either steal or want all of the revenue. I do like to get a nice settlement fee. As such I have to hope for the eager person that collects on my ideas will leave me a nice sum. Half a dozen IP, I reckon one will leave me with a nice retirement sum and if that fails the showing of my IP in this blog will leave me with something.

Still that is a worry for later. For now I merely want to improve on what my mind did create. Two of the IP’s are as ready as they can be. I believe that the AR stage could some more improvement, but that also requires the AR servers to be deployed. I can only see the creation improve as it is set to some degree of deployment. The AR setting is clear, I wrote about it several times. But beyond that there is little I see, I saw the application for shops, the setting for Bookshops, jewelry and to some degree fashion and the application of branding. From there we can see the interaction with the Real Estate app (in the original setting) and the application of smartwear. With the AR servers, any shop that has multiple locations could directly be applied to all servers and optionally in several national settings. As such there are the a few more impediments and the stronger setting comes out over larger shops. After all the US has 113,000 malls. So when you add the EU and the Arabic nations, it becomes a nice revenue settings. That gave gave me the idea to set the Japanese idea of Eki Stamps. That idea could be set to a larger stage in a larger book with social media and online settings. So what happens when you have a book and every mall and theme park you enter will give you additional pages and whenever you are near of in a ride the stamp will get automatically added, so in the end you will get a more and more robust and impressive collection? That was the setting that was brooding in my mind when I looked at the setting of Ferrari world and WaterWorld (both in Abu Dhabi) and over time museums and other places will add to this improving the value and acceptance of the idea and that gives a rather nice setting. And when one theme park has it, the others will all follow that is the simplicity of the idea I had. So tell me now, how innovative have these so called captains of industry been?

A setting that adds an entire cog of technology and innovation all by itself (with a little cerebral assistance from yours truly). 

As such I am still looking to add to the IP my mind created and create new gaming IP. I feel fine. I was able to outdo Sergei Brin, Larry Page, Jeff Bezos, Satya Nadella, Andy Jassy and a few others. Too bad I am not that rich (adding the delusional ‘yet’ to this). 

But the journey of creating the IP was a great ride by itself. Oh, I just remember the stage I had created for Adobe. I should give that a few more thoughts. It started with a weird dream, but the dream is still accessible and it is high time that I make the Microsoft Wannabe’s squeal. Perhaps an idea for tomorrow.

What are we doing?

This question bothered me a lot lately. Not some message about an orange menace, or some Kardashian piece of jewellery that once belonged to royalty. No that doesn’t wake me up (or interest me). But in this light we have two articles. In the first we get the main event. Arab News informs us (at https://www.arabnews.com/node/2578351) ‘Saudi Arabia’s aid arrives in northern Gaza to assist Palestinians’ and the issue is none of the western media as far as I can tell have this news, and it is news.

We are given (with images) that “Several trucks with aid, provided by Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian agency KSrelief, have arrived in the northern Gaza Strip via Jordan.” We are also given “The aid was scheduled to be distributed through the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, which serves as the executive partner of KSrelief in the area.” As well as “The campaign to assist Palestinians, initiated by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has raised over $186.3 million from over 2 million donors” the idea that 2 million Saudi’s create a wealth setting for humanitarian relief to the amount of nearly 200 million dollars giving us that the average donation by Saudis comes down to nearly $100 dollars and it isn’t just a trickle, this comes down to a little over 5% of the entire nation’s population. When did we see in the west that amount of humanitarian aid? When we see this numbers the entire western media should have stood up applauding this effort. I have a tainted view of Gaza (and I have been there in 1982), so there is premise to my point of view. What I fail to see is how the media is so tainted that news is filtered out (I personally refer to that stage as corrupt). 

Even I (with my own clear bundle of personal issues) pause to stop and realise that this is a monumental setting. We already saw that the UAE is dealing with shortages in Lebanon (vie the Khaleej Times) and now this? And the western media is currently too tainted to be of any informative acts. No the Guardian is simply washing this over by giving us (at https://www.theguardian.com/film/2024/nov/07/chris-hemsworth-criticised-abu-dhabi-tourism-ad-uae-ntwnfb) ‘Chris Hemsworth criticised over tourism ad promoting Abu Dhabi despite ‘notorious’ human rights violations’ and the Guardian (other news outlets too) are always seeking the Human rights violations. It is never about just the acts of influencers showing the world that there is a lot more to Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates. In this setting it is about  Abu Dhabi, which my meagre self calls the domain of ADNOC and the Abu Dhabi Scorpions (a previous hockey team for the uninformed). Abu Dhabi also has Ferrari World, Warner Brothers World, Yas Water World, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Prison Island Abu Dhabi and a few other ways to spend your hard earned free times. Like shopping in the Yas Mall with 235,000 m2 (2.5 million sq ft) of shopping spanning over 400 shops. As such Abu Dhabi might not be Dubai, but it has plenty to offer and they called the assistance of Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky to help out (Luke Hemsworth is probably still too young). So when we get to “The international non-governmental advocacy organisation Human Rights Watch (HRW) has said the UAE “invests in a strategy to paint the country as progressive, tolerant, and rights-respecting while carrying out repression against dissent”.” Personally I would advice the HRW to go and f**k a camel but that would be inappropriate towards the camel.

So see the articles and consider what else we are missing (apart from the budget to go see Abu Dhabi in person). Within the last week (might have ben two) I showed two cases of astounding humanitarian aid (the HRW missed that part I reckon). Are nations innocent? Well I doubt it, the discriminations that we saw in Florida against the LGTBQ population is one, but the HRW seemingly missed that part too. We have flaws, we all do, but the black washing (the opposite of white washing) of the media is as I see it now getting out of hand. 

As such I wonder what people tend to see and I am curious about the Hemsworth advertisement, perhaps it is on YouTube?

In a time where we disregard and mistrust nearly everything, it is time that the people in the western world regard the Arabian media (namely Arab News, Al Arabiya and the Khaleej Times). There is something seriously wrong in media world and it is time that we take away our view from them and the digital dollars they are whoring for. 

On a personal note, this morning I completed the virtual challenge of walking from Florence to Rome, the walk Saint Francis of Assisi did a few hundred years ago. The challenge was virtual, but the walk (503 km) was very real.
