Ego or lives?

There is a setting you are perhaps uncomfortable with, but that is what I do, put the uncomfortable in the limelight, but before I do that, I need to take a step back and explain how we got there.

Piece One
In the first part we see (at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55388846), ‘New coronavirus variant: What do we know?’, this is important, because it is what we know that brings light in the darkness. So we see “All the work is at an early stage, contains huge uncertainties and a long list of unanswered questions”, this is fact, and the setting of ‘uncertainties’ does not help any. There is also “The government’s advisers on new infections now say they have “high” confidence that it is more able to transmit than other variants”, it is seemingly less of a fact, yet we see that this new strain is now in Denmark, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. So as we see countries closing their borders to the UK, we also see a secondary reaction and that is the puzzle of today.

Piece Two
So as we are told ‘Coronavirus: EU urges countries to lift UK travel bans’ (at https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-55404087), why is that? I am not happy on any travel ban, yet the new strain is a fact, there is a lot we do not know and w do not even know (officially) whether this strain is more deadly, which was counter argued from the moment the new version was seen, and I am fine with a little good news. Yet do these countries have a responsibility to their own citizens? Then we get “It also said transport staff in the EU, such as lorry drivers, should be exempt from travel restrictions and mandatory testing”, yes because lorry drivers never stop for coffee and infect more people around them. From my point of view it seems that the people in Strasbourg are a little dim on the dangers of an infectious disease. Now, I have advocated the opposite and I have advocated the lack of mortality to a larger degree, I stand on that, but to see some flaunt dangers on what might be regarded as the expression of ego is another matter. As such, when I see “more than 50 countries around the world from India, to Iran, to Canada have suspended flights from the UK”, I get it, people need to be safe and that applies to any country, and when I am told ‘a long list of unanswered questions’, the setting of “EU urges countries to lift UK travel bans” makes way too little sense.

A stage that needs to be smothered, not invigorated and in all this I wonder what their ego’s are telling them and why we are not telling those politicians to keep their ego’s in check UNTIL there are actual answers to all the unanswered questions. Or perhaps they need reminding on the setting that the US has 330,000 dead people a lot of them due to inactions and people not taking the entire Coronavirus setting serious enough. Oh and that is ONE country that has 20% of all the global fatalities, perhaps that makes a little more sense to them. I get it, to some degree there is an overreaction, but that does not take away basic national responsibilities that any nations has to its citizens, and opening borders whilst we see ‘a long list of unanswered questions’ does not make sense to me, but that might just be me.

The cool aide look

Most of us react to it, we sometimes invoke reactions, and at times we set the reaction to what WE think is the cool reaction, there is not one exception, not you, not me and not those around us. So to set that premise we need to look at some ‘definitions’ as they are told to us, but also set markers on what we expect to see, they are not the same.

Branding
“Broadly, a product is anything that can be offered to a market to satisfy a want or need, including physical goods, services, experiences, events, persons, places, properties, organisations, information, and ideas” (Kotler & Keller, 2015)”, yet that is not enough, there is also ““A brand is a name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller’s good or service as distinct from those of other sellers” (American Marketing Association)”, this is all the foundation, but consider the following

Emotional marketing tells invokes a feeling that connects audiences with brands with an optional  personal/human way. As any media channels, devices, objects and platforms emerge, they ensure that people have plenty of access to brand events. What’s more, there are now a host of ways for companies to convey their identity and vision, making emotional marketing much simpler, yet how does any consumer see that?

That is the stage I found myself in, I was in a store and the staff member was standing next to a tote-bag roughly 60 by 40 stating ‘Victoria Secrets’, now I in my giddy nature asked, What did you buy at Victoria Secrets? The lady got quite upset, there was inference, no innuendo, merely what I stated. Now, I am not holding her reaction against her, some might state that I had no business stating what I stated, and if that is so, why on earth did she have a tote-bag like that? To minimise her profile during headwinds? Branding is more than the definitions, we made it as such. The T-shirt stating Nasa, ‘Just do it’, enjoy Cocaine, the examples are there by the thousands and it has no intention, or attempt in stopping or slowing down.

For me the reaction was a bit strong, but I had never stated anything like that, as such I wondered why people overreact. This was not about emotion, this is about something else and we need to take consideration of the reaction, both the person making it and those hearing it. We seem to fall in the gap of branding and as such the use and abuse of branding is about to turn a corner.

Japanese
As I see it, we are becoming a ;little too Japanese in this. There some girls wear shirts with slogans and they do not know what it means. Now, we might have that with Kanji, Hiragana or Katakana, so it works both ways. But consider, how many women do you know wearing a shirt stating ‘I am a Whore’? It seems that people all over the world have become blind to what they are wearing and then overreact to the reaction, is it about manners (never say anything), yet is that not the opposite of what branding is trying to achieve? Branding is more than noticing, it is about conversing and about the creation of awareness, people talking about the brand creates awareness.

The problem
There is a problem, for any version of a view towards awareness, we see (a+1)(b+1), when there is linearity, we see 1, 4, 9, 16, 25 and so on, yet if any view invokes 10 opinions we get 1, 121, 441 and so on, and that is when the views and opinions are in a set stage, now try (a+1)(b+1)(c+1), a setting for views, opinions and reactions. So 1 view gives us 10 opinions and 20 reactions. Now we get 1, 462, 6237 and that is before we get to social media where the numbers really stack up. At what point will this come to blows, because that will happen, if one persons indication matters, so what happens when a person asks that question who has no idea what Victoria secret is? OK, that is really thin ice, but there is every chance that they haven’t heard of that brand in Loshchinka (Siberia).

No matter how we slice this, the reaction brought me out to consider branding, we take it for granted, but who is aware of what they are branding, or even that they are branding and if branding is a way to invoke a reaction, is there any consideration on the reactions we give, all whilst we are branding?

Just some food for thought

When a scary dream is more

A lot of people have them, I do too, I just hd one and it scared me awake for some reason, and even now, one of the elements is already gone and my mind is fighting to hold onto the other thought, even though I am wide wake. It seems like the dreams are not giving up their secrets that easy, and it is a little bewildering.

So here I am, in my dream, I meet a nice woman, she seems really nice, friendly and confused. She is confused as people are not calling her back and that is where this part is taking us, what we are not told. Changes that are a stage of what people think we should not need to know.

In this dream, I am learning that she has a 5G sim in her 4G phone, it seemingly works, but it only partially works, in the rear there are members of a nefarious organisation and they seemingly are aware that it would be possible to capture peoples hardware, autoforward their hardware and leave the owner unsuspected, a setting for large amounts of identity theft in 2023, as the bulk of our lives are going through a different device. You see, that thing you hold, that brick, that piece of plastic, it is not your mobile phone, not anymore. It has become your personal dat server and that is in this age a bit more powerful than you imagined and under 5G, taking a hold of finances and other means when you pump them through your mobile has consequences. So as I am pondering the dream, I see flares of the second dream. There I meet up with an old boss, he is wearing an old uniform jacket, like a bolero for men, shutting at the waist, the old Dutch uniform jacket of 1975-1980, some used to love them. The only thing I remember is that he had to remain aware in every room where the emergency exit was, it all went a blur after that, so here I am awake trying to figure out my delusions. So I started looking and through were several sources that are not worthy of mentioning, but Ericsson, with his setting gives us “The simple answer, under certain assumptions, is no. However, a complete answer is nevertheless trickier than just a yes or a no”, why can they not answer it: “Yes, if you have…. And no if you have the following situation”, why did I have to take notice of ‘a complete answer is nevertheless trickier’.

And actually, their answer is surprisingly complete, and as I give you “While accessing the 5G system is one thing, the question we have is whether using the “new” security and privacy features of 5G requires a new kind of USIM other than Rel 99+ USIMs which could be used for 4G security. This is a valid question and something which we address below”, as well as “In 5G, subscription permanent identifier (SUPI) could be in two formats, one is the legacy format called international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) and another is the format newly adopted in 5G called network access identifier (NAI). Furthermore, 5G provides at least two methods of authentication and key agreement (AKA) for accessing the network. One such method, 5G AKA, is an evolution of the authentication method in 4G. Another, called EAP-AKA’, is a method now widely adopted in 5G for broader use of the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) framework”, which is interesting, I never knew any of this, I am literally learning this as I write the article, so why was the dream so unreal and partly scary? This is when I see “from the IdaM viewpoint, the Rel 99+ USIMs that could be used in 4G are still compatible with 5G, in that they can be used to authenticate and gain access to the 5G system. The main reason for this forward compatibility is the fact that there is no need for a new permanent security key shared between USIMs and the network”, as well as “5G has introduced significant privacy enhancements in terms of how permanent and temporary identifiers are used”, this optionally sets the stage for something really scary. What if the SolarWinds debacle is merely a test-run in getting some parts out there, optionally undetected? What if there is a run on copying all the data in some way because, as we see here ‘4G are still compatible with 5G’, I merely wonder what else is possible and why the dream scared me, more important, I knew nothing of this before now so how does my dream know? I have never seen an actual 5G sim before today, and as I see some of them, they are all vastly different, it also implies that the sim touches different points, in different cases, and I know that what I am seeing is marketing driven, but where is the reality? More important, what is the danger I dreamt of? If a person’s phone can be hijacked WITHOUT the owner knowing, what other dangers are their for their personal data servers? I worked on the IP to lower that danger, but it was merely a consumer driven IP, which aligned perfectly with something else, and here I am seeing that there is a danger, optionally merely a delusional one that is in the background, so I can pretty much kiss this night of sleep goodbye.

Still, only 2 days left to get my groceries and most is done, but some parts I tend to leave to the last moment, that tends to be me. You see on the 24th many groceries start pricing down the stuff they cannot sell on the 25th for some reason and that is where my little profit is.

Still, my dreams seldom throw me to this degree and to be honest, when it comes to dreaming high tech and gorgeous women optionally scantily clothed, I still go for option two, even though I stopped being a teenager some time ago, well that’s me and for now I am considering something on branding for tomorrow, or the 25th, something happened and it puzzled me, but it is always a decent reason to dig into the matter and that I what I might do, yet for now, there was something on the dream that was more than delusional. It is not merely on what was done without our consent and knowledge, what happens when options like that become a larger stage of exploitation? What happens when EVERY sim is the first part of a tracker and 5G pushes us to allow for more, all whilst the evidence against us is legally not allowed to rely on data points to help prove our innocence? I will leave you to ponder on that element of the equation.

Once more for the whiners

It started in 2018 when I wrote “A certain play performed by adjusting to the notion of stupid and short sighted whilst the captains of industry have been getting their A-game in gear and others never did. It is merely another stage of the impact of iterative exploitation and profit founding, that whilst Huawei, Google, Apple and Samsung are no longer going iterative, they are now making larger leaps over the next 5 years as they want the largest slice of 5G pie possible and in an iterative setting the others can catch up and that is where we see the clash, because these hardware jumps will also prevail in software and data jumps and some players are in no way ready to play that game”, there was a malleable situation that came to fruition 2 years later. I saw it coming, and whether it was Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or Apple iCloud (that selfish title), one would reap the benefits. Of course there will always be the negative shouts (on how nut I am), yet less than one hours ago, we see Reuters give us ‘Aramco to bring Google Cloud services to Saudi Arabia’, a stage that was always going to happen and it serves my IP as well, so I merely have to wait, like a spider in the middle of his web. Two years of anticipation about to pay off massively. The article came as ‘Clueless to the end’ on that October 12th and now we get the setting where Microsoft and Apple are basically second to all.

So as we now see “Aramco said Saudi Arabia is being added to the global network of Google Cloud Platform regions, as part of a strategic alliance agreement signed between the company and Google Cloud this month”, this also means that it can test apps in 5G at full speed in a national setting, implying that the advantage of Google makes more and more headway, this is not about the foresight of Google, it is for the most the lack of foresight to all the other players that scream that they are treated unfair and the large tech companies must be broken up, here we see a stage I foresaw 2 years ago, several people were all up in arms how I didn’t see it right, larger tech companies in a lack of action and here is the advantage that Google now has, and more importantly well deserved has.

So when we see the New York Times 21 hours ago and see in one part ‘The Antitrust Case Against Big Tech, Shaped by Tech Industry Exiles’, as well as “Regulators are relying on insiders like Dina Srinivasan, who left her digital ad job after concluding that “Facebook and Google were going to win and everybody else is going to lose.”” We see a stage of people in  stage of whatever (aka: lack of insight), this is further set in “before she became an antitrust scholar whose work laid the blueprint for a new wave of monopoly lawsuits against Big Tech, Dina Srinivasan was a digital advertising executive bored with her job and worried about the bleak outlook for the industry, which is great, because as she was looking at the bleak prospect I came up with a new piece of IP for 5G, and it is something she could have thought of, but no she didn’t and now I have it (and she does not), so does it make me a genius and her average, or me creative and she a mere advantage seeker with no prospects to advance over, I would like to think it is one, but reality will probably set me in camp two. As such a larger stage is not merely the lack of foresight, it is a whole range of people in a stage of seeing what Google can come up with and how it fits their need for profit seeking, something that was decently clear in every attack on Google and its three tech accompli, a stage that the media milks but seemingly does not care to understand, but that is my take on the matter. As such, does Google matter, or was Google always the martyr? I think both, but the advantage seekers wanted google to suffer their non profits (they call them losses). Yet the stage is seen as per today that these players never looked beyond the length of their nose (we are excluding Pinocchio and Cyrano de Bergerac from consideration). Or in the language of Sergey Brin (Google’s own Papa Smurf), If we smurf what we smurf all the smurf, the smurf we smurf will be better than any other smurf.

So as we see (at https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/20/technology/antitrust-case-google-facebook.html) “With no background in academia but an insider’s understanding of the digital ad world and a stack of economics books, she wrote a paper with a novel theory — that Facebook harmed consumers by extracting more and more personal data for using its free services”, no one is considering that whilst she had the advantage she was quiet, when the advantage went away she started to cry (well sort of) and now we see “she argued in another paper that Google’s monopoly in advertising technology allowed for the type of self-dealing and insider trading that would be illegal on Wall Street”, yes that is what the whiners say (as I put it with diplomatic eloquence), yet the truth is that there are two stages, what the people want, what WE seek and what advertisers push WHAT THEY THINK WE WANT, two very different settings and as they REFUSED to listen, because it was not a contribution to their bottom line, and as some of these digital weavers left things unsettled in 1995-1998 Google had an option and created a search system, one that simpleminded people could not conceive, in addition, in 1998-2000 the digital advertisement players sat on their hands, on their asses and kept on faltering, because their short sighted approach was making them rich and in 2000 Google Adwords came and changed it, they actually LISTENED to those who needed advertising and gave them options and choices, something the others never did, they had the conceited approach like the yellow pages and we merely had to shut up and pay the bill, Google Adwords gave options and choices and a massive way for us not to be taken advantage off, we only paid one cent more than the one before us, so if number 4 paid $0.37 for an advertisement, number three paid $0.38 (regardless of bid), number two paid $0.39 (regardless of bid) and number one, el jefe de advertencia paid $0.40 (regardless of bid), that as something the others NEVER offered.

So cry me a river, now Google Cloud is also in Saudi Arabia (via Aramco) and hopefully son my system will deploy for consumers and small businesses, all whilst the whiners say they are treated so unfair, I got an optional entire technology arm launched, so how we consider “they can articulate the specifics of what they worry about”, which they are allowed to do, but in that same time I came up with a new 5G technology, at that point, are the whiners really helping us, or stopping us from reaching innovative greatness, merely because they cannot fathom the options?

So whilst w might notice ‘The Facebook Antitrust Case Is a Vital First Step. But More Needs to Happen’ and accept words of a Smoking Gun, is there an actual progress by these whiners? Let’s not forget they were at the helm and let it slip, these executives were riding high and falling asleep whilst Chinese companies hungry for that much revenue are waking up and nipping at everyones heels. This might be a good thing, but those same whiners complaining about actual innovators is taking it one step too far, and as I am showing, that progress started to come in 2018, now that the Google Cloud is going there the others will wake up and wonder why they never thought of it. Well, I can tell you, it was the lack of vision that did not get you to Vision 2030, which was launched well over to years ago.

So there!

When fear becomes key

This is me, sitting on my sofa, laptop in my lap (that is why they call it a laptop) and reading the BBC News, giving us ‘Covid: Australian states enforce travel bans amid Sydney outbreak’, I am at home, which is fine, no Wife, Girlfriend or hookers here, so the chance of me getting infected is close to zero. When this is in effect, the friends coming to visit you might not be friends, it is that time of year and the situation is not a great one. So when I see “The events of the past few days… are incredibly frustrating and disappointing for people all around the country who had plans in place to get together and move in between states”, I personally go ‘Yea, whatever’, we might not like it, yet most understand the essential part of nipping this in the backside, especially 4 days before we remember a person being born who got nailed to the cross by the Italian government and eating way too much, and all kinds of exotic items (Christmas plum pudding with custard) doing so. Some might end up watching a classical work by Charles Dickens or Frank Capra on the small screen. That is what we have to endure when we optionally eat too much.

So why do I giggle when I see: “Sydneysiders scrambled to leave the city for other states on Sunday”? You see the Coronavirus was shown to be an issue because people were travelling although they were unknown to already be infected, they felt fine until at least two days later, so this thing will end up all over the place. It is good to see that people tend not to learn. In addition, I learn “Scrutiny has again fallen on the hotel quarantine system – which is believed to be the source of Sydney’s new outbreak, as it was with previous outbreaks in Melbourne and Adelaide”, a sidestep that is optionally a larger issue, as these people came by Bus, train and taxi, how many did they infect? I am merely asking. Yet, it is not all bad news, especially when we consider “Australia so far has recorded 908 deaths and 28,200 cases in the pandemic – a level far lower than seen in many other nation”, although, 3.2% mortality, all whilst France is showing 2.4% mortality, and Germany reportedly has as low as 1.7% mortality (if all the numbers are to be believed), the setting of “a level far lower than seen in many other nation” is still up for debate. But I get it, in a place with 20,000,000 people, less than a thousand jobs and houses became available and that should be seen as a positive thing. And indeed, we are doing marginally better than the United Kingdom who has (apparently) a 3.3% rate of non living, we are alike both island, yet they have 68 million, but we are roughly 3,078% larger, so yes, we are doing better, even if only to hide the bodies in all those stretches of untouched wilderness (See movie Wolf Creek for explanation). It is also nice to learn at the very end “Testing has shown the latest outbreak is likely to have come from the US. However, it remains unknown how the virus was taken into the community”, which is OK, it is optionally not their fault, but in that light and in the light of what is happening, I still have a giggle at “Sydneysiders scrambled to leave the city for other states on Sunday”, I wonder where the next hot points are. That issue was seen 12 hours ago when 9News gave us “‘Complacency is not our friend’: Warning as interstate arrivals found breaching quarantine rules in Queensland”, yes, fear (and optionally stupidity) is the key when we are confronted with ‘breaching quarantine rules’ and I basically wonder if that person gets to court and that his or her defence would become a crying ‘But I was so afraid’ is seen, optionally with a fear of life without his or her teddybear.

And in all this the added news “Two travellers from New South Wales have breached their home quarantine orders after travelling to Queensland amid tightening border restrictions” I basically am wondering how many people will it take for the next 15 hotspots to become explained by quarantine breaches. This is not merely the end of it, that is seen when we turn to the New York Times (at https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/12/03/world/covid-19-coronavirus) where we see ‘After a Skirmish Over U.K. Vaccine Approval, Fauci Offers an Olive Branch’, so why id Dr. Fauci having to offer an olive branch? Even when we take notice of “As the U.K. claims bragging rights for the best vaccine regulators (yes, really), U.S. officials beg to differ”, I for one tend to think that Dr Fauci has had to deal with too many idiots in government positions, but that might be just me. It is shown with “British and American officials sparred Thursday over how Britain had beaten the United States to authorising a coronavirus vaccine, a debate touching upon both regulatory standards and politics that has heated up as wealthy countries vie to receive the first shipments of vaccines”, I wonder why properly testing a vaccine has become a pissing contest, my inner self tends to doubt the fast one on being thorough and that is purely from within me. And when we compare all this to new strains, hotspot issues and stupid travellers, in the end, the disease will get to where it needs to go and it wants to go EVERYWHERE.

Did I oversimplify the problem here?

I did like the response by Dr. Fauci ““We have the gold standard of a regulatory approach with the F.D.A.,” Dr. Fauci said. “The U.K. did not do it as carefully and they got a couple of days ahead.”” This gives light to my pondering, at what moment in time was a race the best way to go about all this? We are globally at 77,236,327, a million more than yesterday, in what setting is a race the solution? I will offer that only in the needy eyes of short sighted politicians is a race a solution. It is not in the eyes of scientists and vaccine creators, there it is finding the best solution and that takes time, especially as we are now seeing version 2.0 of the Covid-19 virus, as such I am willing to bet that this all is far from over, giving in to a key element like fear will not help anyone in anyway anytime soon.

How do I ask for tea?

It might seem shallow, yet it isn’t, languages, especially other non-earth based civilisations is going to be some challenge, whether it is purely for science, whether it is to make a TV-series look more realistic and acceptable (my reason) or for any other reason, there is a larger setting to find common ground. More importantly, how to go about it, in Keno Diastima, I am setting the premise by placing a modern form of the rosetta stone in the place that they are in. I considered how to go about it and weirdly enough, the Japanese solved the problem for me on our side. A setting that is a lot larger than any other country has at present, in this I grabbed a consideration from the movie Contact, there we hear (optionally pushed by Carl Sagan) “Mathematics is the only true universal language”, well, it fits because it is science, science can be replicated every single time under identical settings. So when we consider how a more advanced civilisation communicates with one less evolved, icons seem to bring the bacon to the party (even one with vegetarians).

That was the premise of the solution for the space station, one that had its controls reconfigured, every button has a transparent top with reflects the alien language, but the image is one of our own icons, so when we get the larger panels, we can introduce more elements, coffee, milk, sugar, cream, and in these combinations, we need to add numbers, as such, we need a larger setting and a rosette stone is the first hurdle aliens would give us,  to consider and scan for comprehension, to scan for resolve and to see how the language was understood. That is seen in the basic rule of communication. “A says something to B, B gives a response, A communicates that there is comprehension”, we see to forget the basic rules and needs in the digital age, but that merely increases the level of confusion, and we really do not need more confusion.

As such, the stage we design is one that we need to be able to rely on, whether it is at the bottom of the ocean or in outer space, confusion starts with a lack of communication and if confusion creates chaos, what does the empty space in our mind create? That and more was considered, yet in this, the entire setting of a few hundred icons gave me some dread. In this we are consistent in what WE need, there are icons for bathrooms, buying tickets, hotels, restaurants, yet when we look at the icon for library and bookstore, how can we see one and the other? There is the idea to add colour to give meaning, or implied use of an icon, yet we see danger as red, what if black or green is their setting of danger? These are all matters that come to the forefront of the mind and in this My mind wandered towards a interactive rosette stone, one that changes as a linguistic side was chosen, as such the stone (touch sensitive perspex) gets a larger station in this story, we need to adapt the stone to the minimum level of any person, as such they are all fitted with bracelets, 8 couples, or 8 implied couples with 16 bracelets, each with multiple icons, a larger station where we see adaptation to a new environment and it has physical and psychological sides, so what happens to the fear levels when we realise that we might be scrutinised by aliens? More important, what if they get it wrong?

It is one of close to a dozen element I am playing with and even as I finished the (extremely) broad strokes, it is a familiar path, I reckon that every RPG went through similar strokes, a stage we do not always see that way. Well, only 2 hours until Monday morning, Yay!

The rest of our lives

Yes, we all look towards the rest of our lives, yet how much of it is left? There is every indication that is is a little less than we expect it to be. I was looking forward to write more on the TV series my mind created (Keno Diastima), I was adding a little more science to it all, science makes fiction easier to swallow for the sceptical among us and I like plenty of science with my fiction, so there.

Yet, as I was brooding on this, I saw the Coronavirus messages from all Directions. The Netherlands is banning all flights from the UK, a part of Sydney now has a larger problem and the news keeps on coming in, I especially ‘liked’ ‘Covid: WHO in ‘close contact’ with UK over new variant’ (at https://www.bbc.com/news/world-55382212), there we see “The new variant is spreading more rapidly than the original version, but is not believed to be more deadly”, it is the application of ‘is not believed’, which basically implies that they do not know and that is fine, we accept that not all answers are available at point zero. Yet, who considered the impact on these to approved vaccines? Is vaccine one good enough to fight off and prevent version 2? What will happen when there are more mutations? And the largest issue the media and most people ignore is the 1% speculation. In June (6 months ago) we could see a global increase of 1% over 3 million cases, which is 30,000. In September the number was 7 million, in three months, the number had doubled, as such we come to a stage of 70,000 new cases. Day (globally), now the total number number is 76,635,408, 10 times of what there was three months ago and it is time to button down the hatches, because the 1% rule gives us 766,000 cases a day (globally) and all whilst some sources make claim that in India there is a 60% setting of people with the Coronavirus, 60% of 1.35 billion, a number we do not see anywhere, making optionally the source unreliable, yet I have had my concerns with the Indian numbers for the longest time. You merely need to see actual footage on the population pressure in the Mumbai region alone to see that question mark. The reported figure are present is at 10,031,659, When w apply the 1% rule we see 13,500,000 a day, and so far that number has been exceeded on a global stage by nearly every country, so not in India? Consider the population:

If even one person in this crowd has the Coronavirus, how many will have it tomorrow? That is the ignored part, partially because most non-Indian people have no idea just how populated India is and that is the larger danger, we tend to ignore what we do not know and in this case it is a dangerous setting to have. And this is not some sought special picture, Google Search can give you well over 100 images like it, all from different areas of India.

As such, when you contemplate the rest of your life, did you consider your life (if you have any left) after the coronavirus? The numbers are in my favour here. The 1% rule was surpassed by a lot over the last 6 months. We might lockdown everything, but it takes one stupid person to ignore this and quickly visit a friend, and the scared ones do it more quickly than any other.

At present the BBC (at best) give us “There is no clear-cut evidence the new variant of coronavirus – which has been detected in south-east England – is able to transmit more easily, cause more serious symptoms or render the vaccine useless”, which is fair enough, more importantly, we also do not know what we do not know, this sounds complex, but variants are tricky bastards and there are no real answers until a laboratory have positively analysed the mutations, this is fair (at https://www.bbc.com/news/health-55312505), but the number one scare for governments is “or render the vaccine useless”, several players paid billions for the vaccine, so the term ‘useless’ is one they do not need to hear, but in the end, we simply do not know. Neither do we know whether the vaccine to strain one will also lower the power of strain 2, 3 and optionally 4. Anyone who believes that this ends today is paving the road to hell, all on their own.

In this the West Australian had the funniest setting for all this, they give us today “Coronavirus crisis: WA Premier Mark McGowan says hard border with NSW needed to ‘save our Christmas’”, yes because saving Christmas trumps the need to keep our lives safe, that made perfect sense and if you are forced to self-isolate celebrating Christmas is really topping your chart, isn’t it?

Well, whatever you do, you will have the rest of your life contemplating it, and should you die tomorrow, then I hope you resolved whatever you were brooding about. #Oversimplification

After the fact

We have all heard the setting, when we set the new premise after the fact. Most will remember the average male response to the option of sex before marriage “Maybe I’ll marry you tomorrow”, and we then congratulate ourselves, as we got some. Some have a slightly altered versions and especially in the Netherlands no one has forgotten some of the songs from the era of the VoC, especially when sharks were thwarted and the other vessel had silver. But that one too did not end nicely for the sailor, he was also promised the daughter of the captain, the other vessel was sunk, but the sailor never made it. After the fact is in some cases brilliant, but is it? That is the question we see when we consider ‘Urgently Waive Intellectual Property Rules for Vaccine’, (at  https://www.hrw.org/news/2020/12/10/urgently-waive-intellectual-property-rules-vaccine), yes it might be a week old, but the vaccine search started a year ago, and now, some want to avoid the IP rules. That is not fair on the makers of the vaccine. Their motives might have ben greed driven, but over half a dozen firms started to look for a solution. That solution is not a cheap one and in this the firms took that investment, because the vaccine sales would set them right. It is a fair setting, the governments were not able to step in to make it themselves and they bought the vaccines, as such I might not like the approach, but I get the setting that is being met. As such seeing “help boost global access to Covid-19 vaccines, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch said ahead of a key World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting in Geneva on December 10, 2020”, is as I personally see it utter bullshit. How loud were these two (on every channel) fighting for this a year ago? Why was there nothing to be seen in the mass of newspapers and digital news bringers?

Yes, after the fact is nice, but AI and HRW do get get to sulk like little bitches a year later. There could be a case if the bulk of the newspapers and media had mentioned that setting over the last year, but they did not, did they?

I get it, it is not completely fair on some places, but what options were given to these locations by the UN buying vaccines for these regions?

When we consider the setting we see in the first “At the WTO meeting, the governments will discuss a proposal by India and South Africa to temporarily waive some provisions of the Trade Related Aspects of the Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement. The proposal would facilitate technology transfers so that Covid-19 medical products, including vaccines, could be produced quickly and affordably by manufacturers around the world”, and in the second “Higher-income countries have already made deals to buy up the vast majority of the world’s potential vaccine supplies for 2021, so the move would help scale up access for people in lower-income countries”, the question is what will the pharmaceutical companies do?

We see the Washington Post give us ‘Coronavirus vaccinations have started. But people in Africa face a much longer wait’, and before we start screaming foul, remember, that so far only 1.6 million on 75 million people died and these numbers show is that 23% of ALL the deaths are in America. This leaves us with a mortality rate of 2.13% (which is not a really fair setting), yet what is also given is that 70% makes a full recovery, we seem to forget bout those parts. In this the survival part is more accurate than the non-living part on a few issues, we see that basically, 27% of those who contracted the disease are not out of the woods yet. As such, n this setting we see over reaction and opportunity seekers, opportunity seekers is that this is happening AFTER THE FACT. I get it, they didn’t want to do it ahead of time, because the pharmaceuticals have no intentions to make something for free, which makes sense too. So when we see “Kenya, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Pakistan have joined India and South Africa to co-sponsor the waiver proposal. The proposal was welcomed or supported by 100 countries, most of them low- or middle-income. But a small group of high-income countries and their trading partners have opposed it; including Brazil, the European Union, Canada, the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom”, we get that the low income nations need a solution and it will come, but the overreaction in light of the numbers we see are a bit out there and even as I have been against a whole range of pharmaceutical issues in the past, they do have their rights too, and TRIPS was there to enforce rights and duties. So to abolish it to deal with fear is just a bit of a no-no as I personally see it.

Is it fair on India and South Africa? Well that remains to be seen, but I do not see why, in India 144,914 died of the disease whilst India has well over 1.35 billion people, implying that their national mortality rate for Covid-19 is 1% of 1%, so what are they needing a vaccine for? The fact that 9,530,530 recovered from the 9,987,949 cases is also debatable, but that gives them that 95.4% fully recovered, as such why is India so up in arms on this? Perhaps the fact that for well over a year the numbers never made sense, perhaps India has a much larger problem, yet their pride got in the way of it all, so if they cannot properly inform us, why should they receive special consideration? I know, you might not agree and that I fair, but that is the setting. That is what we think plays. The Print (at https://theprint.in/health/india-is-missing-about-90-infections-for-every-covid-case-latest-govt-analysis-shows/567898/) gives us “Latest analysis by DST panel, that predicted end of Covid pandemic in India in February 2021, finds that about 60 per cent Indians have been infected so far”, that in light of the reported 9,987,949 total Covid cases, whilst the population of India is 1.35 billion makes less sense when those numbers were reported, all whilst they give us now (well three days ago) that 60%, implying that 810 million people in India have Covid-19, so what happened to the 800 million Indians in the numbers?

At some point the ego of governments need to be held to account and I see no reason why they get to take the pharmaceutical players for a ride. In this I wrote this on October 31st “Even as India has well over 3 times the population of the US, there is no way that the numbers add up, with the US having over 9 million cases and India barely passing 8 million, the stage is not completely seen”, almost 2 months ago I questioned the Indian setting, the numbers never added up. I did that in ‘As jobs become available’ (at https://lawlordtobe.com/2020/10/31/as-jobs-become-available/), but no one (in the media) asked serious questions regarding that stage, why not?

As such, as I personally see it, India has nothing to complain about, perhaps they need to elect officials that will give them the actual setting, not some story by Mother Goose. It is the stage they set themselves, as such the ‘After the Fact’ premise that we see given now is as I personally see it, a cold spud in space.

And the 100 supporters need to consider their own numbers. India might be the most visible one, but it is not the only one and this Covid-19 stage was a serious one and another one will come, there is no doubt about that part, as such these governments better start playing nice, better start giving the others the numbers that are true, a much larger stage could have been prepared by the world as India hd been upfront about the 800 million missing infections, perhaps the lesson they are handed now will improve their view of what matters, their ego or reality.

Yes, it almost sounds inhumane, but we accepted responsibility of certain choices, like laws, trade laws and IP Laws, we cannot switch them off when it pleases us, because we might as well throw all laws overboard in that game, a stage that bodes a lot of harsh stages when this happens.

There is of course the conversation that India and South Africa can have on what to do the next time around and that is fair, that is just and yes, it is a stage we must acknowledge, yet it is not after the fact and that is the proper stage to play and perhaps it will result in an adaptation to TRIPS, I cannot deny of oppose that setting, the question is what the pharmaceutical players will set at that point. We can all accept that their IP, is just that, it is theirs. It does not mean that a deal cannot be worked out, but it is done in advance, it is a set stage where they can decide how to act and at that point the HRW can be all dog and less humane, what happens then? Time will tell, for now we have this issue in play and we still have no real view on how many distribution point there are and how 4,000,000,000-6,500,000,000 vaccines will get to their destination. Because that too is a stage we forgot to look at, that many vaccines will imply that mutations are almost a certainty, yet how many we will see is not clear, when that happens, global travel as we know it will change forever.

Not for minors

OK, this is not the most subtle article I have ever written, but at times subtle just doesn’t do the story any justice, it happens. So this is a question to parents “If you have a daughter between 22-32, and she looks like Laura Vandervoort, Olivia Wilde, or Alexina Graham. Can I please fuck the bejesus out of her vagina?” To be honest, I don’t really need to, but it has been a while, so there.

Are we all awake now? So consider ‘Facebook and Apple are in a fight. Your browsing history is in the middle’ (at https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/facebook-apple-are-fight-your-browsing-history-middle-n1251612), apart from all the hackers getting access through Microsoft, we see another stage develop. The headline might not get you on board, so perhaps the by-line will “Facebook on Thursday ran its second full-page newspaper advertisement in as many days, attacking Apple’s plans to tell iPhone and iPad users when apps are tracking them online”, which implies that Facebook does NOT want you to know that apps are tracking your every move, and Apple does. It seems to me that Apple is in a stage to put awareness and security at the centre of your digital life, Facebook not so much. Now, I have no problems with Facebook keeping track of my actions ON FACEBOOK, but dos their ‘free’ service imply that they are allowed to do that anywhere I am? I believe that this is not the case and the money Facebook is getting is starting to feel tight around my digital profile, their actions had already made it important to delete Facebook software from my mobile phone (it was draining my battery), but the stage is larger and that is seen in the NBC News article (and a few others too).

So as the quote “Facebook on Thursday ran its second full-page newspaper advertisement in as many days, attacking Apple’s plans to tell iPhone and iPad users when apps are tracking them online” is given, how many of you are considering the following:

  1. A full page ad in the newspapers is pretty expensive.
  2. Facebook is seemingly untouched that multiple apps are following us.
  3. We are seemingly not allowed to know all the facts!

This is the big one “attacking Apple’s plans to tell iPhone and iPad users when apps are tracking them online”, so why are we not allowed to know what is being done to us, that we are being followed in a digital way and Facebook does not want us to be aware? This is where we see my (not so) subtle hint regarding your daughter and “fuck the bejesus out of her vagina”, how many fathers will be slightly less than enthusiastic? I get it, your little princess (your consenting and adult) little princess needs a knight on a white horse and always bring flowers and chocolates, have honourable intentions and to set your mind at ease keeps your daughter a virgin until the day she marries. It is not realistic, but parents are allowed to be overly protective of their princes and princesses. Yet Facebook seemingly does not want you to be in that park, they want you to be unaware of what is going on, and Apple drive it to the surface. So when we see “Apple is planning to roll out a new feature on its devices that will alert people when an app such as Facebook is trying to “track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites.” People will have options such as “Ask App not to Track” or “Allow.””, they did something really clever, if Microsoft (after they resolve all their hacks) does not follow suit, Microsoft stands to lose a massive slice of the consumer pie and that will not make them happy. I for the most am completely on the Apple side when we see “Users should know when their data is being collected and shared across other apps and websites — and they should have the choice to allow that or not”, I personally am realistic enough to see that Apple has an additional side to this, not sure what yet, but this is about a lot more than mere advertisements, I am however not too sure about what that is. When we see “Facebook uses data such as browsing history to show people ads they’re more likely to want to see, and to prove to marketers that its ads are working”, we need to realise that I would have no issues with any link opened within Facebook towards whatever we were going to in any advertisement. For example, if Facebook opens up a browser window, within Facebook and tracks the clicker, I would not completely be opposed to it, but Facebook realises that the data it I tracking is a much larger stage and I feel that this is not merely about “prove to marketers that its ads are working”, I believe that these trackers keep tabs on a lot more, keep tabs on what we do, where we do it and how we do it. I believe that it is a first step in the overly effective phishing attacks we face, Facebook might not be part to that, but I reckon the phishing industry got access to data that is not normally collected and I personally believe that Facebook is part of that problem, I also believe that this will turn from bad to worse with all the ‘via browser gaming apps’ we are currently being offered. I believe that these dedicated non console gaming ‘solutions’ will make things worse, it might be about money for players like Epic (Fortnite), but the data collected in this will cater to a much larger and optionally fairly darker player in this, I just haven’t found any direct evidence proving this, in my defence, I had no way of seeing the weakness that SolarWinds introduced. It does not surprise me, because there is always someone smarter and any firm that has a revenue and a cost issue will find a cheaper way, opening the door for all the nefarious characters surfing the life of IoT, there was never any doubt in this.

And in this, it was for them NEVER directly about the money, in this look at the ‘victims’:
The US Treasury Department, The US Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), The Department of Health’s National Institutes of Health (NIH), The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA), The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), The US Department of State, The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) (also disclosed today), The US Department of Energy (DOE) (also disclosed today), Three US states (also disclosed today), City of Austin (also disclosed today) (source: ZDNET). It was about the information, the stage of a more complete fingerprint of people and administrations. It gives the worry, but it also gives the stage where we can see that Apple has a point and we need to protect ourselves, because players like Microsoft will not (no matter what they claim). In this I name Microsoft, but they are not alone, anyone skating around margins of cost are potential data leaks and that list is a hell of a lot larger than any of us (including me) thinks it is.

So whilst we look and admire the models, actors and actresses and we imagine whatever we imagine, consider that they are not a realistic path, a desirable one, but not a realistic one and that is the opening that organised crime needs to claimingly give you ‘access’ to what you desire whilst taking your data. It is the oldest game in the book, all wars Arte based on deception and you need to wake up, the moment your data is captures and categorised you are no longer considered an interesting party, you are sold and they move onto the next target. So whilst you get trivialised, consider that Apple has a plan, but whatever they plan, it seems you are better off on that side, than the one Facebook is planning. When was the last time that you were better off staying in the dark on what happens to your data, on what happens when others keep tabs on you?

And in this consider “Facebook is making a last-ditch effort to persuade Apple to back off or compromise with industry standard-setters.With offline ads in newspapers such as The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, the social networking company is trying to rally to its side the millions of small businesses who buy ads on Facebook and Instagram”, so in that quote where do we see any consideration on the people or us as the consumers? When we see “millions of small businesses who buy ads on Facebook and Instagram” where is the consideration that they should have for the customers who walk into their business? When you get in any shop what do you hear? How can I be of service? Or do you hear: What do you want? I let you consider that whilst you consider the position Facebook needs to have and consider that non digital advertisement never kept track of what other newspapers you were reading.

We seemingly forgot that there is a price for the presence of IoT, Apple is making us aware of that. I am not silly enough that Apple is holier than though, but at least they created the awareness and the greed driven players are not looking too good today, are they?

Thanks for the support

We all have to say thanks, I in this case to the BBC, they were just able to give support to two issues that I put out in the open over a year ago (too tired to find these articles, they are at least a year old and it is 33 degrees Celsius at present (at 21:30), The first is the lacking approach to Common Cyber Sense within the US Administration, I found that failing in the Pentagon in 2018, I found Cisco routers still carrying the password Cisco123 in at least two sensitive areas and there was the use and abuse of non secured USB sticks in more than two sensitive places and on top of all that, the US ends up with an idiot in the White House relying on a password like MAGA2020, how bad do things need to get? I agree that the man Victor Gevers did everything right, including alerting the proper players, but this is a much larger problem. So when we see “The president’s account, which has 89 million followers, is now secure. But Twitter has refused to answer direct questions from BBC News, including whether the account had extra security or logs that would have shown an unknown login”, the quote forgets to give a larger part, you see, this was all on the user, when the user is thick as molasses and equally stupid, can we blame Twitter? And this now also reflects back to ‘6 simple questions’, which I released on February 3rd 2020, there we see the simple setting that the Daily Mail, the Daily Mail of all sources that there was a way to infect accounts yet no way to establish by who or how. It gets us back to the original question ‘Where is the evidence that Saudi Arabia infected ANY phones?’, a question that FTI Consulting and the United Nation essay writers can not inform us. It shows a much larger lack of cyber security and proper cyber defences, all whilst these so called investigators are happy to accuse whomever is a political and not a true target, is that too much?

I ended that article with question 6 ‘Why on earth is the UN involved in an alleged Criminal investigation where so much information is missing?’, now we see a new page turned, can any criminal investigation hold any water when the users are that thick? MAGA2020, really?

So when we consider “Mr Gevers also claimed he and other security researchers had logged in to Mr Trump’s Twitter account in 2016 using a password – “yourefired” – linked to another of his social-network accounts in a previous data breach”, in all this the need to employ Common Cyber Sense is a situation that becomes more and more essential and we need to catch on quicker than we are, because it is people like that who will claim things against Russia and China, whilst letting their security services in at their leisure because they cannot be bothered with Common Cyber Sense.

As I see it, President Trump will optionally get two additional Christmas cards this year, one from 76B Khoroshevskoe Highway, the other from 14 Dongchangan Avenue, Dongcheng District, Beijing. Both will be stating “Thanks for the support”, what a lovely way to end a presidency and probably the first time that a US President gets a Christmas card from both locations.
