Angry stupid people?

Yup that is the debate, can stupid people validate their anger? Optionally can angry people validated b e stupid as well? We know plenty of angry people, we know our share of stupid people too, but the combination is always out there for debate, was the stupid person debatably angry, was the angry person be optionally stupid? Yup, I could go on all day, so when I saw ‘Brussels angry with AstraZeneca: ‘had plenty of time for production’’ at Dutch news site NOS (at https://nos.nl/artikel/2365932-brussel-kwaad-op-astrazeneca-ruim-de-tijd-gehad-voor-productie.html), I thought I had hit the jackpot, I can vent all over that person. And it starts at the very beginning where we see: “The European Commission and EU countries are meeting this afternoon with pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to discuss the slower delivery of vaccines. Brussels hoped for 80 million doses in the first quarter of this year, but that seems to be only 31 million”, and we need to take careful notice of ‘Brussels hoped for 80 million doses’, where in the entire setup of business needs is ‘hope’ valid? It’s called a sales contract, and there the stipulations are made, that has been the case for decades, which jester got elected to that Brussels seat? As such, when I saw “We understand that there could be problems in the production phase, but we have invested large amounts of money to ensure that much of the vaccine would be produced before it was even approved. Then we expect production to actually take place”, here we need to take notice of ‘to ensure that much of the vaccine would be produced before it was even approved’, oh man, this is fantastic, this is the funniest jester since the one murdered in Venice (1497), I just cannot stop laughing. And they aren’t done with making jokes at the European Commission, we then get “The European Commission ordered 300 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and most of the doses of this vaccine should be in within the next six months”, which is fair enough, so please produce and publish the sales contract, it should stipulate the delivery time, and the amounts delivered, or at least a final date of delivery of all the ordered doses, where is that? As such, when we are given “It is not known exactly how much Brussels has paid AstraZeneca in advance, but it is likely to be hundreds of millions of euros. That money was intended to produce the vaccine in advance, so that large quantities would be ready by the time approval would follow. AstraZeneca received that money, but the question now is whether it actually produced”, can anyone explain to me who the thickheaded dickhead was that is relying on ‘intended to produce the vaccine in advance’, and where in the sales contract it is given? Creating a vaccine in advance (before approval) is dangerous, it also means that sanitising any system that was involved would take days if not weeks, so who was that stupid and if you are THAT stupid, are you allowed to be angry?

And I made reference to the timeline in OCTOBER 2020 in my article ‘As jobs become available’ (at https://lawlordtobe.com/2020/10/31/as-jobs-become-available/) I gave a clear setting (I looked it up) that the setting of “on top of that Sanofi is one source stating that they can make 2.5 million doses a day. This gets us to the 2 billion shots, taking 800 days to make and that is if everything goes right the first time. So there will be a waiting list that is well over 2 years and that is WHEN a vaccine is a reality”, so please reveal to us the name of this Jester of the European Commission, he is highly entertaining, optionally that person is in the wrong line of work, unless he produces the contracts that give us the time lines that they mention, and if it is EC contracts, we are all allowed to know, are we not? So when we decide to kick AstraZeneca, lets make sure that we are given the low-down on what was set on paper regarding deliveries. Because a simple abacus gave us the setting that the EC in Brussels had no validity, especially  when we consider the places where this stuff could be made and what was agreed on. That part is openly missing pretty much everywhere, so why are these EC members paid a horrendous amount just to be this stupid? I wonder, don’t you?

Perspective

We all need it, you, me and all around us, it is essential to set a stage where we are able to set dimensionality of what we know, what we think we know and how it relates to everything around us. There are to benefits, the first is the ‘blinker’ effect. In the old days (and ever today) horses were given blinkers as to not get alarmed by what was happening around them, we too need blinkers. If we take in everything around us we might get anxiety. Now, we do not need actual blinkers, we day dream, we focus, we set the view to what we (at times) need to see. Some focus too much and get this tunnel view where the larger image would have been useful, but that is not always the case, it is at times arbitrary.

How about an example. There is talk of Google search leaving Australia, so here we see ‘A Google exit could open door for publisher deals with smaller players: ACCC’, a quote by Competition tsar Rod Sims, my somewhat less diplomatic view is “Is this Sims out of his fucking mind?”, you see the media has almost no credibility left, if you need an example of that, consider the news (by Dutch NOS) on December 25th (at https://nos.nl/artikel/2362024-leids-onderzoek-veel-gebruikte-sneltest-minder-betrouwbaar-dan-gedacht.html), I wrote about it in ‘The lull of writing’ (at https://lawlordtobe.com/2020/12/28/the-lull-of-writing/), in that time, which media format gave us any information? In light of todays news (at https://www.smh.com.au/world/oceania/what-we-know-about-the-new-zealand-northland-case-20210125-p56wre.html) a month after the Dutch situation we are given all kinds of filtered information, including a new South African version, with the added “but there’s no evidence to suggest an increase in disease severity or fatality rates”, and there we have it, no mention of ‘False Negatives’ at all, something that was out for a month from reliable sources mind you. In addition, we see the NewScientist giving us ‘Covid-19 news: UK variant may be 30 per cent more deadly’ (at https://www.newscientist.com/article/2237475-covid-19-news-uk-variant-may-be-30-per-cent-more-deadly) and here I accept that one source does not validate the second part, yet Sky News gives us that it ‘may be’ more deadly, which indicates that there is no proof, and other sources do not gives us anything, not even any form of opposition of the two elements, which could be valid, but the news is no longer about informing us, but giving us filtered information (which is their shareholders, stake holders and advertisers version of censorship), as such are we confronted by censorship or scenesoreship? I let you decide, yet the stage that the media gives us in opposition to Google, all whilst they have little to no credibility at present (well most of them anyway) leaves us out in the open wondering why we pay for that level of news anyway, are the shareholders and advertisers not paying them? So whilst Bloomberg gives us ‘Australia Says ‘Inevitable’ Google Will Have to Pay for News’ (at https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-24/australia-says-inevitable-google-others-have-to-pay-for-news) people like Australia’s Treasurer Josh Frydenberg better realise that they are now walking with a target on their backs, you see, they might hide behind “it’s “inevitable” that Google and other tech behemoths will have to eventually pay for using media content”, all whilst that pussy refused (read: was unable) to overhaul tax laws, tax laws that impact all (including Apple, Netflix and Amazon), and in that setting, we will hold HIM accountable for filtered content, all whilst these news players give us links on Twitter, Facebook and Google Search that leads to advertisements to pay for reading their news, these advertisements are in the news sections, so where do we get OUR money back? So whilst we see “Frydenberg said Australia could either be a “world leader” in pushing for the code or wait to follow others in passing similar legislation”, or Australia becomes option 3, namely irrelevant. A nation with 25 million people is not that relevant, especially when it is as isolated as Australia is. And in that light, when Google moves out, what will Australia do when it realises that there are cogs to digital advertisement and commerce falls down and down, rely on the yellow pages, or a yellow solution (Chinese e-advertisement options). The news dug its own hole, it catered to Murdoch frenzy who pushed towards glossy pages, which is nice in the UK where there are 25 different newspapers on every corner, that is not the setting in Australia, so when the Australian Epoch Times overtakes any of the Australian papers, I will be howling with laughter, these people dug their own graves, relying on entertainment TV (channel 7, channel 9) to give us the filtered information (read: Australian news) all whilst the people were never considered in the first place. 

Now, there will be peope out there that my perspective is wrong, and I am fine with that, so the best thing to do is to investigate, the news that BBC, Reuters and Al Jazeera gives all, whilst we take a look at local newspapers and see what information is missing, as well as from their online versions. I saw the start well before 2012, but in November 2012 the news agents filtered out what gamers needed to know, there we see the larger issue. Trivialising a setting with ‘there is a memo’ whilst the terms of service are a legal setting between consumer and industrial, the memo was not, any meeting could destroy the memo, it could not diminish any agreed terms of service and 30 million gamers were about to get hit, the filtered information bringers left that out, and they have been leaving things out for a decade, the ‘False Negative’ issue as reported  by Frits Rosendaal from the Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC) gave us this a month ago, and it impacts a lot more people than 30 million people, so where was this news? If you do not read Dutch you might not know this and you all needed to know this, which is opposing the view of Shareholders, stake holders and advertisers. So why do we pay for filtered information?

A fence is for fencing

Yup, that did not make sense did it, although, it is not that far from the truth. It is pretty much on the level of ‘if a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?’ I know, it sounds lame, but the setting is a bit lame and it is open to debate who is right, I for one am clearly in the mindset that I could be wrong, I freely admit that off the bat.

You see, the UK (aka United Kingdom) has a problem, it is coming up short to a much larger degree with energy and that will go on 3-5 years at the very least. Shale Gas is too dangerous in the UK. You merely have to look at the Netherlands for that example as well as the papers of the Dutch NAM to see that there is a larger problem and the Dutch North is in a terrible state because of it. The Netherlands is however on European main land, the UK is not, as such the dangers to groundwater could be a lot more hazardous. The second option is to add 1-2 nuclear reactors, but that is 5 years away and the UK is a bit empty on the coffer side of things, but it is an option for long term consideration. And then there is the reliable coal, a substance fought over since the Onedin line was a fashionable time (circa 1860). So when I see ‘Government defends Cumbria coal mine green light’ I get the response by BBC writer Roger Harrabin (at https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-55668507), and he is optionally correct, but the UK is dealt a set of cards that do not look prosperous and in the short term consider the power switched off in every house for 2 hours a day for the next three years. The issue is that pressing, so when I see “Environmentalists have reacted with astonishment and disbelief, saying the carbon from burning coal is clearly a global concern. They warned the decision will diminish the UK’s credibility.” I am not entirely sure if the environmentalists understand the situation as it is, yes we can be overly protective in the 11th hour, but that also means that for the next three years all houses will lose power 2 hours a day. No electricity of any kind, that is the setting the UK faces. Elon Musk is sitting on a solution to solve it, but that is also 1-2 years away and that will bring cost to EVERY house in the UK, it is up to you all, but we need to see that governments on a global scale were sitting on their hands whilst the energy shortage was clearly visible, the UK has only 2 direct options and one is 5 years away (it takes time to build a nuclear energy reactor). Now if Paul Miner gets his way (I a not saying he is wrong) and we see the setting “All coal mines should be refused planning permission, according to current government policy. So, it beggars belief why ministers have not stepped in and refused the planning application for this coal mine in Cumbria”, he must also deal with all the complaints when  well over 40 million people will have to find a solution living on power 22 out of 24 hours a day, when that shortage is felt by the people in the UK, they need to visit Paul Miner and hand over their complaints to him.

Now, I am not in favour of coal mines and coal based energy systems, but the UK is now in a stage where they might not have a choice, the inactions over 1990-2010 will now be showing. When we get the numbers “Between 1990 and 2018, net imports of electricity increased by 60 percent” (source: Statista), we need to realise that it will get worse, in addition we are given “In 2017 UK Net imports made up 36% of UK energy needs (paraphrased)”, as such 2021 could spell that energy imports could hit the 50% marker. 

So why might I be wrong?
I accept I might be wrong, The stage Statista shows is one that causes questions, first off, Statista has always been a reliable source of information, as such I could be wrong, yet I have issues with the setting that power needs between 2009-2019 has gone down from 400 GWh to 345 GWh. That is a decrease of a little over 13%, and when we see how electronics have been either on par and in some cases higher, 15% is large, and I believe it is not entirely accurate, I personally believe that over the next 3 years, power needs will increase well over 10%, The net import of electricity rise of 60% is partial evidence, our changing habits on the internet, streaming and all the devices relying on IoT are a secondary level of evidence and there is more to come, all whilst the UK is coming up short again and again and at some point France and Norway will not be able to provide the energy required. But the Statista curve is also optional evidence that my way of thinking is incorrect and that too needs to be out there. 

So we might be on the fence, we might fence with the numbers we see, but it is clear that there is a larger stage and I am willing to bet that some numbers are behind a curtain so that we remain lulled to sleep, until it is too late, and by my personal reckoning it is already too late, because if there was still time there would not be any coal mine in the planning stage, whether it is local or not, whether that stage is global, all whilst I showed on December 10th 2020 (at https://lawlordtobe.com/2020/12/10/uniform-nameless-entitlement-perforation/) in my blog ‘Uniform Nameless Entitlement Perforation’ that 1% of the industries account for 50% of the damages. The chart was clear and as I now see “it further fuels climate and ecological breakdown”, all whilst the actions against the 1% industrials who create the massive pollution damage are nowhere in sight, hypocrisy anyone?

So yes, I am not in favour of this coal mine, but I wonder if the UK has too many options left and when the UK faces brown-outs like California does and it happens in winter, I wonder how many snivelling people will cry for energy relief and that is if the people in the UK can still afford energy bills in 2022, because that too is a question that might not be as easy to answer as we think, especially if all that energy is to be imported. Yet none of that is seen in the article (which is fair), yet ignoring the larger stage is folly, especially in these times.

You be soft

Well, there is good news and there is bad news, the good news is that my dreaming was not as dark as before, the bad news, I redesigned a new version of Assassins Creed, nothing with that pansy ass Viking stuff, or more precisely the glitches and bugs (as I saw them on YouTube). A fresh version that grasps back to the actual strength of the AC series, the Ezio Auditore era. Don’t worry, be calm, I will not touch something that was near perfect, but it surprises me that no one in the Ubisoft offices had that foresight, that insight and if they did, who was the yahoo milk dud that stopped it? 

When we consider the old games, and I just replayed both AC2 and Brotherhood in the PS5, I was amazed how I loved redoing what I know what was going on, this is not an attack on the AC games, I truly loved these two and I had them both on PS3 and Xbox360, I never regretted that. And after that it went quiet until Origins, OK, AC Black Flag was a great game, it was just not an AC game. Giving a pirate a hidden blade is not making him an assassin and I never got that, Ubisoft had the premise of a new franchise, all new close to a day one game on the PS4 and they botched it, like it was left to someone without backbone to decide, anyway, Origins was amazing and after that it was more of the same, and the same stupidity came to Odyssey, as such I refused to touch Valhalla, and when I saw the glitches in YouTube films I was doubly sure that until the game was 80%-90% priced down (because of all the patches required), I left it alone. So as I was playing this evening a little of AC Brotherhood a new setting came to mind.

It was an interesting time to consider it, because it would set a new stage right between AC Brotherhood and AC3, I set the stage in the Netherlands, and the idea was to make it full on stealth, like an assassin needs to be. The idea was to have a much larger antagonist and it does not get any larger than the VoC, the ‘Vereenigde Oost Indische Compagnie’ was the first setting of a true cartel, so it stands to reason that the Templars (or whatever they would be called then) wanted a piece of that. The idea is to set a story that intertwines there. Consider that art was at an all time high, the Dutch Masters ruled, so the art is there, the old cities of Delft and Amsterdam would be there and that nations has had it foreign military visitors (France an Spain) which also resulted in the 80 year war, as such, a nation in war is a nation with options and opportunities. Even as the VoC is the main antagonist, there is a much larger story, the Netherland were basically  centred around North Holland and South Holland, Even as South Holland was mainly Rotterdam and Schiedam, it had its own life, its own set of achievements, and lets not forget that the Pilgrims on the Mayflower left from Schiedam. A whole wealth of options, and it was left untouched, as they tried to go for something looking cool.  

The VoC had it claws in the East Indian nations and more important, until around 1675 the VOC navigators and cartographers helped shape geographical knowledge of the world as we know it today. In addition, the Dutch scientist Antonie van Leeuwenhoek started microbiology around 1650, he also invented the microscope (he was probably bored staring at the hookers in Caetendrecht), a nation with so much history and so many options and Ubisoft seemingly ignored it. Now there is a danger, the danger is that we do not want more of the same (AC2), but something more, something different and making it more stealth and evolving stealth is an option, we can also dispense with the leaps of faith, we will not be sailing but boats are  larger setting as the VoC was a large fleet carrying organisation. 

There are of course a few options that seemingly overlap, there is art, but this time around books (revelations) are a side, the need to steal becomes a larger stage, as such you might improve a location (your house) but it does not lead to money, as such you need to make choices. There is also the notion to include Belgium as Brussels was an important city, especially when Napoleon came stomping by, there is a setting of close to a 100 years and in that time so much happened,  we could make a much larger game, with more settings and a larger story line that surrounds the VoC and optionally sets a much needed stepping stone to other sides of the story.

What surprised me is that I got all this in less than 3 hours, and all that whilst Ubisoft came up with AC Valhalla, which has as I personally see it a lot of its homework from watching the 2013 series Vikings by Michael Hirst, but that could just be me. 

And my largest fear is not that Ubisoft goes into this direction, it is the massive amount of bugs that they put into the game as well. Even now we see (5 hours ago), that there are arrow bugs that are not fixed, I wonder if Ubisoft will ever learn, I might just buy all their IP. I still have $20 left, it should be enough.

Oh, before I close the story, instead of merely assassinating people (which is never  waste of time), I thought it might be prudent in line of the VoC to add a diplomacy part, so whilst some need to be killed, some people should never be killed, as such the thieves are more important now, they can be used and when used enough they will teach you skills too. Something that sets a larger premise towards using allies. Just an idea.

Kill the law

Yes, that moment has finally arrived, I for the most was against the need to do that, if only the politicians and lawmakers would not have been such a collection of pussies, it might not have been an essential act, but the stage we are on now is one is one that Shakespeare gave us in Henry VI, “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers”, yet at moments away we have arrived at this moment. A few things happened, first there is the stage of the British wankers on ski’s, then there is ‘UK judge blocks extradition of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to US’, in this the BBC reports that “because of concerns over Mr Assange’s mental health and risk of suicide in the US. Mr Assange, who is wanted over the publication of thousands of classified documents in 2010 and 2011, says the case is politically motivated”, he was such an outspoken great man when he released the documents, we can’t have him being a pussy now, can we? Even as I am still in the mindset that he is not a traitor as some call him, he is in a stage where he broke the law and so far half a dozen nations went out of their way to cater to him. A stage of law breaking without accountability, as some would say. And in all this, the one winner is Stella Moris, in all this she gets the limelight she needs to cater to her career. 

Then there is ‘Covid-19 in Switzerland: Mutated UK virus strain found in several cantons’ (at https://www.thelocal.ch/20210104/mutated-coronavirus-strain-found-in-several-regions-of-switzerland), the British pussies (or cunts) that slipped into the night afraid of being in lockdown travelled all over Switzerland too get to France, to get to Freedom, and as I personally see it infecting the Swiss along the way. Now this speculation should be matched by investigation, I understand that, yet if any are found and the British tourists find themselves out of prison instead of in prison for a decade, the basic line is set that the law has become useless and serves the mere large corporations in legally avoiding taxation, to smite the common man in a ruleset that they break again and again. So when we see “Several other cases of the UK variant were also found at the end of December in Zurich, Graubünden, Valais, and Bern, and one case of the South African strain was detected in Ticino, according to the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH)”, we need to wonder what is next. So when we see all kinds of versions of “British tourists have fled the Swiss ski resort of Verbier “clandestinely” under cover of darkness rather than submit to a new quarantine imposed on UK visitors, a local official says”, all whilst the British governments are solent on the matter (as far as I know), we see a stage where we cannot accept the irresponsible acts of others. I wonder if the UK has considered what the larger contemplations are when Switzerland calls for the UK citizens to be pronounced ‘Persona Non Grata’, not one, not 200, but all. I wonder if the law suddenly sees a setting where they either pucker up or they will find themselves left no longer being considered valid by the largest group of people. 

Lacking a proportional response?
Yes, one might say that and it would not be entirely wrong, yet when we are told “More than 2,500 break virus restrictions at illegal rave” (France), even as some sources state that the group had reached 10,000. As well as ‘Demonstration party in Duindorp’ (Netherlands), there are a few more, but they are instances not the common field and we acknowledge that, yet the law cannot sit by, it has to be strict and it has to be firm this time around, if only to get to some specific tourists, they have no valid defence, no matter how they slice it.  This is seen in the larger stage, COVID-19 was a reality for the longest part of the year, they could have let go of this one holiday, until it was safe, they decided that ego was more important, as such they should pay. Yes, we know that the lockdown was not initially in play, but we have had two already and other nations have other stages and settings, they also have the new viral strain and no action was promptly taken until it had spread to 40 nations. In one stage I can say, the more that die, the more valuable my services will be, some will say that is inhuman e, but they decided not to act when it mattered, now it does not. And with 86 million people diseased, we will see the death rate go up beyond 2,000,000 and those are jobs that can go somewhere else, optionally solving unemployment to a much larger degree. In the US there are 12 states where masks are not required, which implies (an unproven imply) that the disease will have a lot more fun in those 11 states (Yes I mentioned 12), Alaska is perhaps the only one that is a bit out of shot, they got a partial save by weather and environment. I reckon that the initial clouds will rise after march, if there is any healthcare or NHS left, we will need to massively address tax law issues on an international scale, if we falter again there is every chance that the uprising against the law will turn massively violent, I myself am totally against the Nanny state (my Republican blood), yet there needs to be a level of accountability and so far the law has merely served those wanting to evade accountability, and the people are stating to notice this and they are putting two and two together, I speculatively reckon that being by tech senator will prove to be a lot less healthy in 2021 than ever thought possible, but I could be wrong.

At the end

Yup one full day left in the year, and my mind gets hit with all kinds of thoughts, towards the Sony directed RPG I came up with a different setting of weapons expertise.

You need to have minimum levels, yet the use of it, also over time strengthens the player. Bash weapons are all about strength (Mace, Club), darts and blowpipes are a pure dexterity event, whilst blades require strength and dexterity and also power both, and Bolas are for strength and intelligence, knifes require dexterity and intelligence and the staff is a pure intelligence weapon. This has two events, you can strengthen a property you do not need, but can power up, all whilst the pure of heart will have play-throughs with different weapons, depending on the person they selected to be, so whilst I was thinking that through, we see new articles on the UK and their dire Covid situation, this is actually more important than you think. Even as we have covid more and more here, the setting of the indication is not merely that what we see (at https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-britain-cases/uk-coronavirus-cases-set-new-daily-record-prompting-extreme-concern-idUKKBN2931P5), a setting that gives us ‘UK coronavirus cases set new daily record, prompting ‘extreme concern’’, all whilst the information I gave in ‘The lull of writing’ (at https://lawlordtobe.com/2020/12/28/the-lull-of-writing/), a setting where we see presented evidence that the quick test gives a false negative in up to 40% of the time, that is quite the issue and as we see “Britain’s government reported 53,135 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the highest number since mass testing started in mid-2020 and up sharply from the previous record of 41,385 set on Monday” I am massively surprised that the NOS data as well as the data given by the LUMC, a academic place that equals John Hopkins, and no one is picking it up? How much ignorance is required in these positions? 

I am not asking them to merely accept the outcome, but as far as I can tell there is no debate on the findings at all, which is positively weird, especially as the Covid issue in the UK has filled 414 caskets in the last 28 days alone (some went into a vase), the silence on this is positively deafening.

So we see additional issues at the end of the year and I haven’t even started on the weird Brexit issues I am finding. All stations of discussions, but the news is all about different things and a largely less reliable covid test is not coming up, why not?

So whilst we applaud the setting of “Andrew Hayward, warned that Britain was heading for “catastrophe” over the coming weeks if it did not take tougher action against the more infectious variant of the disease”, the issue might be too late at present, the more transferable version is out and about and even if it is not more deadly does not matter, when the UK has 35,000 additional patients instead of the 15,000 they might have had, the hospitals would not be able to deal with the additional 20,000 so more people will unnecessarily die, it is basic numbers. And that setting is there out in the open, as such I got real angry over the Swiss setting and the spoiled touristic baboons there. 

A station of hurt is coming our way and there is almost no way to avoid that and as the media is not giving the people essential information, the people will continue to be a lot less careful than they should be. A setting that I optionally face in the next week, which has one upside, if it hits me in the most negative way, I can laugh because I decided to ignore a tax bill until next June, one payment I will optionally not live long enough to pay for, joy joy joy!

The lull of writing

We all have it, a small gap, a gap, which is not the same as a writing block, something I have been smitten with in the past as well. This lull was intentional, you see, I found information tht changes the game, it explains a few matters and sets a different premise. I found it two days ago and I waited to see who would pick it up, and would you believe NO ONE HAS. The apparent setting is one that requires scrutiny, the two sources are high end sources, one is a (what some would call) an Ivy League university that is as renowned as John Hopkins medical school is, the Dutch NOS has had a long term high level journalistic side that equals the New York Times and the Washington Post. They give us ‘Leids onderzoek: veel gebruikte sneltest minder betrouwbaar dan gedacht’ (at https://nos.nl/artikel/2362024-leids-onderzoek-veel-gebruikte-sneltest-minder-betrouwbaar-dan-gedacht.html), the title translates to ‘Leiden research: frequently used rapid test less reliable than expected’, it gives us “Een sneltest die in Nederland dagelijks duizenden keren wordt gebruikt mist 40 procent van de coronagevallen, komt naar voren uit onderzoek van het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC)”, which translated gives us “a quicktest that is used thousands of times in the Netherlands misses 40% of the corona cases, this is found by the Leiden University Medical Cantre”, this is a dire setting indeed, and one that is kept from the people and the media, I wonder why. The micro biologist Maurine Leversteijn-Van Hall gives us “people are going home thinking that a negative result implies that they are free of COVID-19 this is incorrect”, I was shocked to learn this and the fact that these two renowned sources give us this, is a worry, the fact that others are not asking questions and have not given its people any information is a larger worry still, the fact that they blatantly copy one another on the setting of the tits of a Kardashian or how its hanging with Ryan Reynolds, it it sinking in that the media setting is largely facilitating to shareholder, stake holder and advertiser?

So when we are given the carefully phrased denial ““Abbott’s Panbio antigen rapid test is a proven and accurate test,” the manufacturer argues. “We are not aware of this investigation and the researchers have not contacted us.”” The additional ““But we do not find that 90 percent sensitivity”, says lead researcher Frits Rosendaal, professor of epidemiology at the LUMC. “We conduct independent research and never contact producers about it.”” Is added worry still.

The fact that this is not out in the English speaking open after 2 days is food for thought, and even as many do not have the multi linguistic skills I have is not their fault, the fact that the media is not all over this is a clear failing of the larger media. So whilst the larger media is all over ‘Japan’s Shinzo Abe apologises over ‘cherry blossom’ scandal’, the fact that they are not all over the Dutch findings of. Failing quick test in light of the 4,045 new dearly departed of the Coronavirus in the last 24 hours is a large worry, a worry we might happily ignore, if it was not for the fact that 81 million people either have, or had the virus. A stage we are so willing to ignore, so when the numbers go out there and the vaccine, is equally failing, will you start to take things seriously? Will the media wake up, or will they flame it in need for digital click coins?

I will leave it up to you to make up your mind, yet consider that the NOS article, after you pass it through the Google Translate will leave you with a lot of questions, I wonder who will give you the answers, when you realise that the media is not the party earning your trust (well most of them anyway), where will you find the stage where you can make up your mind?

I apologise or leaving you with many questions and no real answers, I am not a medic, I will not give advice where you need answers to clear and concise questions, this is up to people who are educated in the knowledge of Medicine, yet consider that two sources, one in journalism (NOS) and one in medicine (Leiden Medical University) give us a serious failing of 40% and no one is picking that up, why is that? Not merely not picking it up, but also not openly opposing the findings, it is a worry and a clear question mark. 

I wish I could tell you more, but I could not wait any longer to inform you, and hopefully we see more in the coming days, even though I remain doubtful of it and it is another clear example on how shareholders, stake holders and advertisers seem to have a pressure point on the media.

Ego or lives?

There is a setting you are perhaps uncomfortable with, but that is what I do, put the uncomfortable in the limelight, but before I do that, I need to take a step back and explain how we got there. 

Piece One
In the first part we see (at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55388846), ‘New coronavirus variant: What do we know?’, this is important, because it is what we know that brings light in the darkness. So we see “All the work is at an early stage, contains huge uncertainties and a long list of unanswered questions”, this is fact, and the setting of ‘uncertainties’ does not help any. There is also “The government’s advisers on new infections now say they have “high” confidence that it is more able to transmit than other variants”, it is seemingly less of a fact, yet we see that this new strain is now in Denmark, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. So as we see countries closing their borders to the UK, we also see a secondary reaction and that is the puzzle of today.

Piece Two
So as we are told ‘Coronavirus: EU urges countries to lift UK travel bans’ (at https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-55404087), why is that? I am not happy on any travel ban, yet the new strain is a fact, there is a lot we do not know and w do not even know (officially) whether this strain is more deadly, which was counter argued from the moment the new version was seen, and I am fine with a little good news. Yet do these countries have a responsibility to their own citizens? Then we get “It also said transport staff in the EU, such as lorry drivers, should be exempt from travel restrictions and mandatory testing”, yes because lorry drivers never stop for coffee and infect more people around them. From my point of view it seems that the people in Strasbourg are a little dim on the dangers of an infectious disease. Now, I have advocated the opposite and I have advocated the lack of mortality to a larger degree, I stand on that, but to see some flaunt dangers on what might be regarded as the expression of ego is another matter. As such, when I see “more than 50 countries around the world from India, to Iran, to Canada have suspended flights from the UK”, I get it, people need to be safe and that applies to any country, and when I am told ‘a long list of unanswered questions’, the setting of “EU urges countries to lift UK travel bans” makes way too little sense. 

A stage that needs to be smothered, not invigorated and in all this I wonder what their ego’s are telling them and why we are not telling those politicians to keep their ego’s in check UNTIL there are actual answers to all the unanswered questions. Or perhaps they need reminding on the setting that the US has 330,000 dead people a lot of them due to inactions and people not taking the entire Coronavirus setting serious enough. Oh and that is ONE country that has 20% of all the global fatalities, perhaps that makes a little more sense to them. I get it, to some degree there is an overreaction, but that does not take away basic national responsibilities that any nations has to its citizens, and opening borders whilst we see ‘a long list of unanswered questions’ does not make sense to me, but that might just be me.

The rest of our lives

Yes, we all look towards the rest of our lives, yet how much of it is left? There is every indication that is is a little less than we expect it to be. I was looking forward to write more on the TV series my mind created (Keno Diastima), I was adding a little more science to it all, science makes fiction easier to swallow for the sceptical among us and I like plenty of science with my fiction, so there.

Yet, as I was brooding on this, I saw the Coronavirus messages from all Directions. The Netherlands is banning all flights from the UK, a part of Sydney now has a larger problem and the news keeps on coming in, I especially ‘liked’ ‘Covid: WHO in ‘close contact’ with UK over new variant’ (at https://www.bbc.com/news/world-55382212), there we see “The new variant is spreading more rapidly than the original version, but is not believed to be more deadly”, it is the application of ‘is not believed’, which basically implies that they do not know and that is fine, we accept that not all answers are available at point zero. Yet, who considered the impact on these to approved vaccines? Is vaccine one good enough to fight off and prevent version 2? What will happen when there are more mutations? And the largest issue the media and most people ignore is the 1% speculation. In June (6 months ago) we could see a global increase of 1% over 3 million cases, which is 30,000. In September the number was 7 million, in three months, the number had doubled, as such we come to a stage of 70,000 new cases. Day (globally), now the total number number is 76,635,408, 10 times of what there was three months ago and it is time to button down the hatches, because the 1% rule gives us 766,000 cases a day (globally) and all whilst some sources make claim that in India there is a 60% setting of people with the Coronavirus, 60% of 1.35 billion, a number we do not see anywhere, making optionally the source unreliable, yet I have had my concerns with the Indian numbers for the longest time. You merely need to see actual footage on the population pressure in the Mumbai region alone to see that question mark. The reported figure are present is at 10,031,659, When w apply the 1% rule we see 13,500,000 a day, and so far that number has been exceeded on a global stage by nearly every country, so not in India? Consider the population:

If even one person in this crowd has the Coronavirus, how many will have it tomorrow? That is the ignored part, partially because most non-Indian people have no idea just how populated India is and that is the larger danger, we tend to ignore what we do not know and in this case it is a dangerous setting to have. And this is not some sought special picture, Google Search can give you well over 100 images like it, all from different areas of India. 

As such, when you contemplate the rest of your life, did you consider your life (if you have any left) after the coronavirus? The numbers are in my favour here. The 1% rule was surpassed by a lot over the last 6 months. We might lockdown everything, but it takes one stupid person to ignore this and quickly visit a friend, and the scared ones do it more quickly than any other. 

At present the BBC (at best) give us “There is no clear-cut evidence the new variant of coronavirus – which has been detected in south-east England – is able to transmit more easily, cause more serious symptoms or render the vaccine useless”, which is fair enough, more importantly, we also do not know what we do not know, this sounds complex, but variants are tricky bastards and there are no real answers until a laboratory have positively analysed the mutations, this is fair (at https://www.bbc.com/news/health-55312505), but the number one scare for governments is “or render the vaccine useless”, several players paid billions for the vaccine, so the term ‘useless’ is one they do not need to hear, but in the end, we simply do not know. Neither do we know whether the vaccine to strain one will also lower the power of strain 2, 3 and optionally 4. Anyone who believes that this ends today is paving the road to hell, all on their own.

In this the West Australian had the funniest setting for all this, they give us today “Coronavirus crisis: WA Premier Mark McGowan says hard border with NSW needed to ‘save our Christmas’”, yes because saving Christmas trumps the need to keep our lives safe, that made perfect sense and if you are forced to self-isolate celebrating Christmas is really topping your chart, isn’t it?

Well, whatever you do, you will have the rest of your life contemplating it, and should you die tomorrow, then I hope you resolved whatever you were brooding about. #Oversimplification

A weird vindication

Yup, we all face vindication at some point, it can be ‘I told you so’, it can be ‘Yup, I watched it and it went exactly as I expected’, and it can be ‘You should have listened to me’, To be honest, I hope at times it is almost never the third one, there will ALWAYS be an exception, but the third one is laced in arrogance and I personally think that it is laced to deeply in arrogance, as such I tend to side with the first two sentiments. 

Now, this day started weird. I woke up from a slumber. We all have those moments at times, in this instance I had  sort of waking dream, so I cannot say what kind of dream it was, it might be a movie script, yet the setting was a little too surreal. It was in the Netherlands, apparently the Dutch Military Police (they also guard the royal family) had set a parameter where the non used royal houses were used as stash locations. They were instructed to investigate a reporter who had found a snippet of that setting and they decided to smear his career in several ways as to take focus away from those locations. They involved the foreign office to muddy the waters. It was a small group of less than a dozen agents, but the stage was sullied by VEVAK as one of its agents performed a ‘service’ once and they had an inside scoop on technology that was stored in one of the locations. As the foreign office operative was smearing the reporter, VEVAK had altered the information to the smallest degree, but it woke up Mossad and as they started to look into the matters the reporter as well as well as the crooked military police agent were all in their  alleged private hell and as Mossad as played in a few ways the criminal police officers had no place to go but towards handing over the technology to Iran. Anyway that is when I woke up, and I saw that I missed out on the first hour of the Game Awards 2020. 

So why is this vindication? The Last of Us part 2 (7 wins), Ghosts of Tsushima (1 win), Final Fantasy 7 remake (1 win), 9 wins, all Sony exclusives, that is what I mean with Microsoft being off their game by a massive amount, there were more non-Microsoft wins (Animal Crossings) as such the weakest console got the award when the most powerful console did not. Microsoft did win the   Sim/Strategy Game Award and the Flight Simulator that they have left no surprise, it is BEYOND amazing, fair is fair. But that is one title, in this game award show Microsoft was a larger absent force, to get to the top layer you have to up the game to a much larger degree, Sony did, Microsoft to a larger degree did not, the absence of Ubisoft needs to be noticed too, there is a larger stage and both Ubisoft and Microsoft are no longer in the centre of it, the fact that Microsoft got mentioned (in light of Sims) is fair but it is one in a stage where they used to be a contender to a much larger field, fo me this is an ‘I told you so’ event. 

The exclusives matter, if they rock the field they rock gaming, and this year is a sore point for both Ubisoft and Microsoft. I wonder what will happen next year. CD Projekt Red has fixing to do, yet they could end up taking some of the awards, There are a few more players, but the stage is shifting and in this there is a larger push for Sony to rule the complete center stage. The 9 awards are a clear indication of that. It was always hard for any fight between two Sony titles, as such there is a little surprise that Ghosts of Tsushima only got one, but the competition was fierce and The Last of Us part 2 was a price fighter here. No matter who of the two won, the players and the gamers in the end they won, especially if they had both games. So as we are about to enter Saturday I will continue on the RPG I was working on, still haven’t worked out the new levelling system, well actually perhaps in part I have, but I need to think through whether it will not become too chaotic. In gaming chaos is fine, in programming a little less so, it allows for too many bugs and glitches to creep in. Innovation is cool, but the path towards it, often enough, less so.
