As evil goes

There is a setting that was inflicted upon us all by books like the bible, it goes like “the idea that humans are the source of their own suffering, whether through their actions, choices, or the inherent negative inclinations they possess” we refer to this like ‘the evil we create’ it is ‘told’ that it revolves around issues of free will and the connected moral responsibility we have. That and last week I went for a job interview. I was told that ‘older’ people are rejected as we lack certain views of adaptation and acceptance of new technologies. In a short saying, that is what my grandfather said when I was wrong until I unplugged his life support, showed him who was boss.

Anyway, something snapped in me and today it is the outcome of short sighted HR people, lazy It people and a dedicated techie who has little to lose, merely the effort that some have and the impact on a lazy business effort with the setting of “Well look at it next quarter” the right combination of issues and impact. And as it goes, places like Ukraine can release such a system on the larger Russian technology setting, so there is that. Although America makes much more likely a target than Moscow, Vladivostok, Saint Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, or Novosibirsk will likely be. 

The setting is that we have two parts. The first part is the automated setting of a standalone laptop with dedicated software that relies on its own (optionally with DML spaces), it is carried around by a drone, one that can hold up to 5Kg, as such a netbook and 3-4 battery packs for longer activities. I reckon that a setup like that would cost around $25,000. Now consider that it goes out looking for wireless enabled servers and in America it would be a lot, In Russia likely a lot less, but not zero. It infects these servers whilst flying around the buildings and in less then 2 minute per servers it does what it needs to do and in one swift control it gets activated, optionally all in one swoop and the location gets a load of DDOS attacks in under an hour. Consider what AWS did to the world, is done by third party players to the business industry. And without effort the business world goes down. So how’s that for an elderly person person without certain views you HR hack. 

As the US governmental settings are in shutdown it will take days to instigate anything and by the time others figure out that they were hacked remotely wirelessly others will destroy the evidence needed and nothing gets done yet again, until the next rounds of hacks come into the wireless connectors. 

So, as evil goes, I am doing quite well. I merely had it with the people deciding on what is possible and leaving me out to dry. Ill soak them all in hardship and terror in an instance. The too is the consequence of unleashed adaptability and considerable creativity. 

So is my idea likely? I am not sure, I think so, but it requires the engineer with effort to program a DML setting and there are other settings, so that they are on the ground hacking via the netbook in a drone so that they become the second hop and that is the unlikely setting, because the hacker needs to remain in an 8 block distance from the drone, not consider that setting that this hacker is drinking and working from a Starbucks at 233 S Wacker Dr, Chicago, or perhaps a coffeeshop in Pershing Square, Los Angeles. How many corporations and servers could be hacked in these 8 block radiuses? That is beside the settings in San Francisco, Houston, Phoenix, SanDiego, Dallas and Austin. Consider that before you write of IT people in their 50’s and 60’s. 

A simple setting and I combined a few simple variables with simple creativity. A setting others cannot dream of and I gave the world a new fear a fear where the world stops because of a simple setting that others (for greed reasons) left around for another quarter. 

That is the setting everyone seems to ignore. The setting that it comes to a halt because these places tend to be out for lunch at 21:00-23:00 hours and that gives the, something to be worried about and with the available IT people working remotely so they can tend to more corporations, that comes down to a grinding halt real quick.

So as such there is evil I can do and the world is not ready for my creativity, as such the HR wench that wrote me off because of age, have a nice day and consider what you unleashed unto the world. Time for me to consider hat else I have wreck havoc on, my creativity is going just fine, so have a great day and consider that the world is about to get more complicated in an instance. And with the police in shutdown to some degree, help might not be coming any day soon and in that same setting you bleed revenue every minute because you left something until the next quarter, which would be on you.

See Tea or else

Yes, I promised you a story full of intrigue, filled with bad Jedi and happy Sith only 20 hours ago. And here it comes (I’m watching Star Wars episode 2 at the moment). You see, there is a setting where we can watch the unfolding of what some laughingly call ‘Artificial Intelligence’ (it would be if it was designed by the CIA, but the American Administration is now in shutdown). To get there there are three parts. 

In part 1 we look at the ‘disinformation’ and here we see the parts that do not match. You see, Dab Mashed potatoes with unions were discontinued in both Coles and Woolworths. The IGA still has it as I was able to verify in person (I had to travel to Summer Hill for that). So this is part 1.

Now we get to the slightly better stuff. You see, some might think that combining DML with Predictive Analytics (some think it is AI) is a solution. You merely set this in a massive database and voila (a theatrical of ‘here it is’) and that was that. This is merely my version of what I think it is happening. 

You merely set the model on all the articles you have and you take settings of ‘minimum order size’ ‘estimated margin per item’ and a few other things and there you have a matrix showing the items that just don’t make the cut for your ‘predicted margin of profit’ model and they are ‘discontinued’. And it goes on for nearly all retail models, and it might be a consideration that this is a speculated idea of why PM Albanese invited Lulu into the mix against Coles, Woolworths, IGA and Aldi. I have no data on this, but I reckon it might be a reason that it stops the DML/Predictive Analytics madness. You see, there is a setting that it is folly to get any customer 100% happy (it really is), so these giants are heading for a mere 90% and they throw out the least margin articles out of their consideration, but there is a flaw, thrown out 10 articles is a start, but that leaves one less at 90% and 9 less at 1%, as such you have a base of 81%, so now we are off to the races. And as there is no substitute for added pressures, Lulu gets invited to Australia (in case the others went the way of the dodo, I meant Coles and Woolworths). There is no supporting evidence, so this is (highly) speculative. But there is another setting. You see, this solution requires programming skills and that is where ‘Accenture plans to boot staff it can’t train to use AI, 12,000 already culled’ comes in. This solution will require hundreds, if not thousands of people being reskilled and places like Accenture cannot do that, unless they trim the staff they have in several places. And 12,000 were ‘culled’ because it hinders their bottom line. To support this I give the following thoughts ‘What time was taken to assess a person whether he/she could be re-skilled?’ Who had the knowledge to assess this and what time frame was developed here? If this goes through it will mean a lot of engineers will be required in a short term setting.

And I merely used the Deb potato mash as an example, but what happens when it this pattern is released on pharmacy or other items? So whilst we might think that Accenture is dabbling in greed, the plain setting is that this is the direction that commerce is driving itself into. 

And this setting is about to be set on unverified data. Consider that Gemini AI had it wrong on Coles and Woolworths (see image), so what else did they get wrong and when that data is unverified how will the Predictive Analytics work with any level of accuracy? Mere simple questions at the top of my mind. And that was the setting of that ‘so called’ AI. 

Now, the setting is that parts of this are speculation, but does this make it wrong? It might be unverified, but the setting of the 12,000 culled into joblessness is recorded all over the media, and it is for the reason of ‘reskilling’ but what makes it impossible to reskill a person? As I see it, it is merely time and that is as I see it, time Accenture seemingly doesn’t have. And the setting of DML and Predictive Analytics? I see that as a limit towards viable data and that is the setting that plenty are ignoring. Some will ‘embrace’ the customer telling them that their data is awesome, but that is the second folly in this. Most of them are merely at the tally stage and their systems tend to come from legacy data, implying it is filled with holes and holes of non-data.

So think of this what you want, but the larger setting is about limiting YOUR ability to choose because it affects THEIR profit margins. Come to think of it, when was the last time you saw Sarsaparilla on the shelves of your supermarket? I remember a few years back there was Black knight licorice, where did that go? So think of all the things you liked and it is no longer there, why is that? Some are unviable as they cater to hundred of thousands of customers and they need to ‘adjust’ their stock accordingly. But what was denied to you? And the setting of adding predictive analytics to their profit mix is only making that worse for you. So what about part 3? Well that is where you the consumer comes in, it is what defines you, not what ‘their’ unverified data says you are. 

So have a think about what you are about to lose and have a great day and enjoy your next coffee, if only to force you to their brand of Nescafe.

That’s one way to see it

I saw a setting in the CBC yesterday, the setting was given (at https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/us-h1b-visa-canada-benefits-1.7640068) with the capture ‘The new, steep price for this U.S. visa could be a blessing for Canadian tech’. Well that’s one way to look at it I reckon. As such plenty of Amazon employees might wanna consider switching to Vancouver for that. The second reason is that they are a mere 90 minutes from the greatest ski slopes on the world. And the text “As the Trump administration moves to limit some skilled workers from entering the U.S. on a specialized visa, the Canadian tech sector is champing at the bit — hoping the new restriction will send talent up north.” I the directly seen setting for that. So with the added text ““Canada has built an entire industry by capturing this talent. And with this $100,000 fee, that trend is about to grow much stronger,” she said. “This is almost a gift because every time the U.S. closes the door on global talent, Canada gains.”” And as I see it, a direct blessing for Vancouver in disguise, other cities might benefit too from that. And it will benefit places like Amazon to set up locations in Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa for AWS pools. I reckon that Google Portland, Google Seattle, Google Ann Harbor, Google Detroit might see the same setting as they are relatively close to Canada, which could save them a clean billion from the get go. I reckon that others like Microsoft would follow that example. It stands to reason that the new set places like AI verification places would be created in Canada as the whole range of NIP locations would require hundreds of Verification stations. Canada might do well to ensure these locations as President Trump is now making them too expensive to create them in the USA. Perhaps he forgot that Stargate without verification becomes useless near the moment those settings are switched on?

So as we are given ““There’s going to be a net benefit effect for Canada across the board,” said Andres Pelenur, an immigration lawyer and founding partner at Borders Law Firm in Toronto.” I guess he is seeing the upbeat Ka-Ching of the cash registers in his location and he might consider branching out to both Vancouver and Ottawa in the near future.

So as we are given “The visa isn’t exclusive to the tech sector, but 60 per cent of H-1B holders approved since 2012 have held computer-related jobs, according to Pew Research — and the visa is used heavily by giants like Apple, Amazon and Google.” Gives us the other setting that we until now ignored. What is Apple going to do? Set up a much larger distribution shop in Canada? Doesn’t that imply that President Trump is shooting himself in the foot yet again?

So as we see the response by Pew Research (which hilariously relies on foot shooting) with “The fate of the H-1B program – which offers U.S. employers a way to temporarily hire foreign workers in specialty occupations – has divided influential Republicans. Tech leaders like Elon Musk strongly support the program, while other Republicans question its impact on American workers. President Donald Trump imposed restrictions on the program in his first term, but his current policy agenda on H-1Bs remains under discussion. Meanwhile, bipartisan calls for H-1B reforms advocate for more oversight to protect American workers while addressing skill shortages.” But as I see it, the setting set into law with the use of a handpscribble makes that a little too late unless President Trump undoes the damage he has done, which is seemingly unlikely. Some will remember his smudging up the error that the coffee typo gave the press. And you can mesmerize on that whilst having a Trump Sandwich in Lambo’s Deli (176 Bellwoods Ave, Toronto). It being a sandwich with Baloney with a small pickle. The other one is on 1372 Queen St E, Toronto. Others might have it that option on their menus too.

Yes, Canadians like their comedy that is easy to swallow as good as Australians do. As such we are also relieved that around 400,000 H-1B applications for high-skilled foreign workers were approved in 2024. That’s more than twice the number of applications approved in fiscal 2000. Approvals peaked in 2022, when 442,425 applications were approved. (source: Pew Research Centre) Since 2013, the majority of approvals each year have been applications to renew employment. In 2024, 65% of approved applications, or 258,196, were renewals. The other 35%, or 141,207, were new applications for initial employment. And all that gathered workforce could now be heading toward Canada as well, and optionally reduce the pool of work seekers in Canada as well as adding fresh blood to Ottawa, a setting that place needs like yesterday. I reckon that the pools in Vancouver and Toronto are already well set. 

Beyond what is great for Canada, there is a larger industrial move already on its way and the VISA costs merely enhanced that setting and added a few requirements to the needs of Canada. Making it fast into the new work-hub to be for the Commonwealth.

The old joke

There is an old joke, I heard it in the 70’s. The joke goes like “John, I have no idea how this firm has any chance of surviving without your presence, but as per this coming Monday, we will give that a try!”, and whenever I see staff removals happening, including me getting made redundant years ago, that joke goes around my brain. So when the BBC gives us ‘Boss says sorry for ‘blundered’ Zoom firing of 900 staff’ (at https://www.bbc.com/news/business-59573146). So we get the outrage linked to “Mr Garg was heavily criticised after he sacked 900 staff in an online meeting”, There is one other setting that I do not get. You see, we get the following part “A deal is likely to value the business – which Mr Garg founded in 2015 – at between $6.9bn (£5.2bn) and $7.7bn”, so in 6 years a firm has grown to $7,000,000,000 and he casually fires 900 people? Didn’t they help the business grow? So, as we set the larger stage we get ““Organisations do have to make job cuts sometimes, it is a hard reality,” says Rachel Suff, senior policy adviser on employee relations at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. “But how they go about it and the humanity they approach it with can have a fundamental impact on how people deal with that shocking news.”” Yes, we can be humane, and we can be callous. Yet the stage of firing 900 people when you went from (assumed) zero to $7,000,000,000 in 6 years is quite the success story, as such the move makes no sense, unless he wants to hang his coat up and retire a multi billionaire. As I see it, the setting of “to float the company on the stock market”, a choice that might be valid, it might not be. I cannot tell, it is not area of expertise, yet the question becomes towards it mission statement “Better.com, which aims to use technology to make the house buying process “faster and more efficient””, is that one direction, was it also safer to do that, or has someone figured out that the faster and more efficient comes with larger safety holes? I actually do not know, but that is the first question that pops into my head. 

You see, we do see “The market has changed”, yet I also find “Home values in New York (statewide) have risen 14.2 percent (current = $363,990) in the last year and will continue to rise in 2021. Over the last year, home values in New York City have increased by 4.5 percent. The latest market forecast is not available for NYC”, so I am not sure what is going on and before we go all high and mighty on the 900 removed people, it represents 15% of removed staff, implying that better.com did one hell of a job, it implies that he still employs 5100 people. The article does not really bear that out does it? I am not blaming the BBC for that, but the setting of what still is remains important. If there is one critique on this, then it is their homesite that still has a career page that is hiring. I reckon that there should be a clear page setting something like “Due to volatile market settings, all hiring activities are temporarily suspended”, as such I reckon that this Vishal Garg optionally missed the ball twice over. But that small part was not picked up either by the media. The website actually looks decent, so the business is seemingly not too shabby.

So whilst the BBC is all about slapping him around, and that is fine. No one is considering the fact that 5100 are still employed and that a startup has grown from close to zero to $7,000,000,000 a feat that is pretty rare to say the least. 

I find it hard to condemn the act (I had been made redundant more harshly then that in the past). It happens to us all one day, unless we are on the board of directors, in which case we get a huge bonus and we are escorted to the limousine.

When is a job not a job?

This is not a farce or a joke, it is a serious question. So at what point have you seen a customer service role, paid $400K a year with the following:

– You will receive an email with a link to start your self-paced, online job application.
– Our hiring platform will guide you through a series of online “screening” assessments to check for basic job fit, job-related skills, and finally a few real-world job-specific assignments.
– You will be paired up with one of our recruiting specialists who can answer questions you might have about the process, role, or company, and help you get to the final interview step.

This is my view of a really silly approach to data collecting!

We get more when we seek deeper quotes like “(name redacted) has turned down high profile tech roles in Europe, preferring to be near his family in Egypt. Crossover enables him to work remotely as a Senior Software Engineer for Trilogy – a role in which he gets to learn new things every day” and it is all possible via a place in Austin Texas (a big city in the USA).

So it took less than 2 minutes to find ‘This company is a scam. Become your own contractor’ This was one source, there were more, the larger stage is found (at https://www.glassdoor.com.au/Reviews/Employee-Review-Crossover-for-Work-RVW11216098.htm). 

Now, normally I do not give a fig, I really do not care who they entangle and how they go about it, but in today’s market to find these so called ‘scams’ going on in places like LikedIn is a larger concern. And to make matters worse, they now have over 2.8 MILLION followers. When places like LinkedIn and Indeed cannot keep their offer database clean, the actual people desperately looking for a job will not ever succeed. Places like Australia have to deal with age discrimination for too much, getting data clowns thrown in the mix does not help and the pot of where to find decent and real jobs is getting slimmer. You see, there are all these people that claim that SEEK is the real deal, but consider that they have (today) 9,761 technical support jobs and 484 UNIX jobs in ONE metropolitan area, do you think that adds up? I can give you a guarantee that it does not, I used SEEK in 2012-2014 and I got ZERO returns, not one job was real, they were all recruiters gathering resumes, a fail rate of 100%, pretty impressive is it not?

As I see it, when these ‘providers’, who came in from nothing and offer a decent service, they need to make sure that their service is clean, if not their value goes straight into the basement and it has larger repercussions. So when I see messages that they cannot find people with Digital experience and some people have been applying for years, I merely giggle. One is not looking in the right place (the one who cannot find applicants), they all claim to be in a global economy and they see “Today’s top 1000+ And Digital jobs in Saffron Walden, England, United Kingdom” someone is clearly losing the plot and it is not me, it really is not. For me that part lighted up as my great grandfather came from Saffron Walden and for the viewers, see the image below. Do you really think that place has 1000 jobs to offer?

So when is a job offer not a job offer? As I see it when it is a ruse, a scam or mere data (CV) collection. That is my view on the matter.

The choices of a greed driven nation

I had to consider a few things today, they are essential as they would impart a much larger setting, do I give way to optional millions, or not. I decided that I need to find a path in between, but the larger wealth that the US voraciously implies is off the table, I would have preferred to work with a player like Google, but the situation in the US is too unsettling. We see the impact of harassment, pressures, discrimination and a lot more, all under the administration of President Trump. Yet, they are not alone, the other side is also baiting the masses and some are falling for it. This entire setting has the origin of debt and poverty, that setting was more and more on the forefront. I made notice of that danger well over a year ago, yet the Corona pressure brought it to the surface much faster than anticipated. The impact is on too many fronts all at the same time and the US has no escape plan. Whatever path was optionally there had been taken away by Wall Street executives, not merely Wall Street, but their minions that are all over the world, squeezing the markets again and again, setting a stage of unreachable expectations. We heard it in the last few years on how ‘analysts expect this firm to reach revenues well over 18%’ answer all silently accepted this. America is now in a stage of debt that exceeds $25 trillion, all whilst big business seemingly stays afloat. Yet that too will change a lot faster than most realise, what happens when the US goes into a full Civil War? That is not a joke, that is the reality that this America Administration faces. It either bursts the Wall Street balloon, or there will be a civil war. The escalations in the US even now point to that. Some merely call it the ‘Nixon playbook’, others watch the toppling of statues, people in police outfits without insignia and without proper discipline. ABC7 Chicago shows intimidation of a dozen white people with rifles as African Americans walk with boxes on the streets, how will this go right? This will escalate and I am not willing to set the stage of my IP in that environment. That so called ‘Chinese oppressive regime’ seems a lot safer to leave my IP with at present than any American based corporation, I had some hopes for Google, but it seems that they are in another stage of self preservation (which is their right), in the stage where the Trump administration goes overboard to quell whatever civil war erupts, California will not be out of bounds, it will get hit hard and it will dampen my value, something I am unwilling to do. It is not about my value, it is about the business impact that my IP will have and I want to watch it growing to the height of its ability. I think long term, I always think long term, the Wall Street boys never got that, they were never able to look beyond the next quarter or the next spreadsheet. 

That is the stage that will hinder and hamper the US, not me, but in the US there are thousands of inventors, thousands of idea makers and they are in a stage where they can no longer trust their own place or their family value. As such, when this comes to blow (and it will), the US will face the largest brain drain ever, they have never faced this before. A lot of people will return to family homes in Western Europe, linking to larger businesses in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, and the Patent shift we see then will be one the US has never faced before, they will go from a number two after China to number 4-9 (depending on the brain drain), as such the US and its debts will implode as their economic value will dwindle, it was a setting that was clear to happen and as that happen, a larger part of the US will become a dead zone, a place without future. The states New York, Texas and California could end up carrying the entire US on their shoulders, which is more likely than not ending healthcare and social services. As these escalations become visible to a lot of people the brain drain will only increase and as some will try to hold on to the brain value of some, the larger population which by the way is well over 40% non-white, will listen to other nations offering larger premises, with optional start up bonuses and houses. It is their cheapest option.

So as a larger shift is happening, we will see a desperate America trying to find a solution that all can live with, if only they didn’t have that pesky $25,000,000,000,000 debt hanging over their heads.

And what about me?

Well, I am uncertain how it will end, but I have set the wheels in motion that over time will hand to the public domain my IP, no corporation will set that stage or can prevent the stage. I have set activation and deactivation codes in motion, I am not willing to trust some corporate goon ever again. Yet the stage I am looking forward to is also an appealing one. Those greed driven people forgot, I was never rich and I am not seeking it (hoping for is still on the table), yet the larger setting is not of what is, but it is one of what is yet to come and the US has no real 5G strategy, it gives its idea’s to the media, blatantly hijacked by some senators needing the limelight and in the end, it all stands still and when we see the standards from China winning over corporations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia we see a setting of isolation for the US, propagating values via the media that are less and less certain before 2022, the 5G workforce will seek larger leaps into other areas. And it is only one of several fields where the brain drain will hamper the US.

For me, it does not matter, who not to trust is only a first step, the next one is the idea and how it will come to reality. I will end up with a fair share of coins, I will end up in a better stage than I ever would have considered and whilst I await that stage, I will have time to finish writing the story that will male a lot more wonder what on earth they were thinking. 

We are watching the choices of a greed driven nation unfold and whilst we see them celebrating wealth, they seemingly forgot that well over 80% is not part of that and almost 11% was under the poverty line, with the unemployment rates the US now sees, that line will shift, it will shift to a much larger degree than any administration ever faced, yet this administration has a massive debt to deal with too, a debt it largely inherited. As such life in the US will become unbearable to a much larger degree soon enough, and the US is not ready, it merely advertises it is ad others are taking advantage of that difference, even now, even as the US remains in denial, they are merely opening the door more and more to be cast from the room of being a superpower. Inviting others to the G7 doesn’t re-affirm their stance, it merely makes it obvious that the American dream died, it did so when greed became more important than innovation. A lesson too many American had forgotten about, the power that innovation brought, not the innovation that large corporations advertises, but actual innovation, the version of innovation we saw all over the 90’s.
