A few days ago 

A few days ago we had the impact of the ban of Jimmy Kimmel and that impact it had. Disney need to raise all awareness flags because like the little weasels they seemingly are, the subscriptions were cut. According to some sources almost $4 billion in subscriptions were lost. Some will howl with laughter, but the impact is a little bigger. You see, soon after that (at https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/disney-subscription-increase-1.7641020) we are given by CBC that ‘Disney+ is raising subscription prices for the 4th year in a row’, one could say this is exactly why I prefer physical media, but Disney wants people to ‘embrace’ Disney plus forever. That Will never do for me. So as the CBC is giving us “Starting Oct. 21, the ad-supported Disney+ plan will increase by $2 US to $11.99 US per month, while the ad-free premium tier will rise $3 US to $18.99 US a month. Annual premium subscriptions will jump $30 US to $189.99 US. Bundled packages combining Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN+ will also see price hikes, according to the company’s website.” This makes them more expensive than Netflix. We see all the iterations and the settings that others bring, but the short and sweet stuff is that there is a case to be made for owning physical media. You see, what these streamers seem to forget is that the subscription will have two sides. The subscription and the price of internet streaming. Some providers have ‘a tentacle’ setting that those bytes are disregarded from your internet subscription. Yet as I see it, when the going gets tough, those ‘arrangements’ will fall flat and the prices really will add to the equation. And as we are given “The price increase also appears to apply to Canadians. An email sent to a Disney+ subscriber and reviewed by CBC News shows that the cost of a premium subscription will jump from $119.99 to $159.99 on Oct. 28, though it’s unclear if there are other Canadian price increases” we see this setting (optional) in “it’s unclear if there are other Canadian price increases” but we need to reconsider some streaming solutions and weirdly enough. I raised that very topic in ‘Choice, can you choose?’ which I brought to you on January 9th 2021 (at https://lawlordtobe.com/2021/01/09/choice-can-you-choose/) and there we see the setting evolve and I was only 4 years ahead of the rest. I also (not there) raise the setting that someone brings is a collective of these channels, because there is the setting that people are willing to pay $20 a month for both Disney+ and Netflix, optionally a little more for others to be included. So when you have Netflix $18 + Disney Plus $19. Would it be an idea to get BOTH for $25? (I personally would prefer $20), but that is where the setting is set. At present the setting does not allow BOTH to be included and in this time where (especially the Americans) will have to live on the Roman setting of Bread and Games which was opted be the Roman Poet Decimus Junius Juvenalis and as I see the setting where “Roman government used free food and public entertainment to pacify the populace and prevent revolts, a practice now used to describe any form of mass distraction that diverts attention from societal grievances” is pretty much what the American government needs at present (my speculated view). And as we see the settings of Army deployments in America, ICE dressing up like bank robbers and a whole range of other settings gives rise to my point of view. 

So will Disney evolve? Will we see the Blu-ray version of the Mandalorian? Or will we see the settings of accumulated streaming? Tune in next week when you will hear nurse Piggy say “Oh doctor, he is not 5G compatible” we look back and see how relaxing and entertaining the Muppet Show really was and we still remember that after 50 years these 5 seasons are still on the minds and in the hearts of millions of people. Wrong premise

That is what I see when I get the news from CBC at present. There are two articles in play. The first one (at https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-big-step-back-from-us-data-1.7637651) where we see ‘Canadians are taking a big step back from the U.S. — and here’s the data to prove it’ giving us the settings around American travel and goods. What was a little surprise that export to the UK had risen over 60%. With “Canadian exports to the U.S. have dropped off while those to non-U.S. foreign countries have surged — a pattern that could accelerate further as the government races to cut new trade deals and help businesses capitalize on the ones that have already been signed.” And as I see it, this setting will merely increase when Canada starts infringing on American exports to Australia by setting a stronger vibe towards Canadian Tire. And I reckon that Simons could make a decent entry into Sydney and Melbourne as well. 

You see the entire commonwealth is fed up with the White House and its [CENSORED] whatever. He might have thought that he was making pointers by slapping the ABC reporter around asking valid questions in the UK, but the answer was not accepted and we have an issue with bully tactics. 

So as the US Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra thinks (at https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/us-ambassador-to-canada-disappointed-anti-american-campaign-1.7637534) that the setting of “The U.S. ambassador to Canada is expressing frustration over the anti-American sentiment he sees in this country, including from politicians, after U.S. President Donald Trump hit most of the world with tariffs.” Which might have caused concern with Mexico (not his bother), United Kingdom (not his bother), Australia (not his bother) and the EU (not his bother either). The thing that is in his plate are the 51st state mentions. That got the Canadians in an uproar and for the most other Commonwealth nations as well. There is no mention of that from him, is there. I get it. He is the American Ambassador to Canada and he doesn’t want to acknowledge the failings of his own government. He is all about calling waves, but the fact that he is unsuccessful, is due to the larger failing of his own government. So as we get “Hoekstra said Prime Minister Mark Carney’s remark in the House of Commons on Monday that Canada currently has “the best deal with the U.S. worldwide right now” has helped “take the tone and tenor of the debate down.”” Is merely the beginning of a new chapter. The old chapter is now done for and Canada will seek other venues for their goods, as such Mexico and the Commonwealth are larger allies Canada can count on. There is also the setting of the EU and optionally Saudi Arabia and the UAE. You see, it is time for Canada to seek out the revenue spending nations (Saudi Arabia and the UAE). There might be a larger audience for the CG634 currently in use in Canada and the Ukraine (the last one die to donations by Canada) as such there is ample evidence that these helmets hold up in battle. And there is more Canadian hardware that could be sold to both Saudi Arabia and the UAE. And as Canada is developing technology to counter hypersonic missiles. There is every chance that Saudi Arabia might be up for a new trade partner, if only not to be dependent on China, replacing China with America gives them a similar dependency and there Canada (Aussies too) might be a willing trade partner. And again America is seeing the short end of that trade deal and it pays for Canada to seek visibility of Canadian Tire to whatever either Saudi Arabia and the UAE have. All options that are out in the open. 

The wrong premise is not that we are sick and tired of America (optionally that too), but when. America collapses, which is not that far away at present we all need alternatives and seeking them out now is merely good business. And in light of the disaster that Disney unfolded, there is a definite chance that there are options in tourism too in Yas Island and in Jeddah too. A 3.2 million population in the Mecca province is likely to need all kinds of entertainment and as the banning of Jimmy Kimmel is said to have cost Disney a simple $3,800,000,000 there is every chance that Disney needs to tighten the belt as of this year. All settings that the American Administration called on the world and the world is answering by looking for goods elsewhere. 

So as I see it the premise we see is incorrect, everyone has had enough of the tantrums of an American Administration that can’t get his head in the game and as everyone in the Business Intelligence can tell you, loyalty was a 1960 term that cannot hold up, not after 50 years.

Focal points required

That is the setting I am having in 1 o’clock in the morning. The news (and the internet) is currently overloading with Jimmy Kimmel stories as well as vindictive settings against Disney and I get it. When the media who is trumpeting free speech is becoming the bitch of President Trump, people will not take kindly to this. Apparently the subscription servers at Disney went down as it was overloaded with cancellations (according to some sources). So I had to look all over the place on the settings of finding something to write about and Tom’s Hardware was one source who supplied the goods. The story (at https://www.tomshardware.com/tech-industry/artificial-intelligence/microsoft-announces-worlds-most-powerful-ai-data-center-315-acre-site-to-house-hundreds-of-thousands-of-nvidia-gpus-and-enough-fiber-to-circle-the-earth-4-5-times) gives us ‘Microsoft announces ‘world’s most powerful’ AI data center — 315-acre site to house ‘hundreds of thousands’ of Nvidia GPUs and enough fiber to circle the Earth 4.5 times’ and even as I don’t care too much about what happens in Wisconsin (other than the need to protect cheeses, I really like cheese) is the fact that when I see an article with that much data, I start looking for missing data, I am wired that way and it is less than 4.5 times around the planet.

But we got something, the setting is given with “This is likely a comparison to xAI’s Colossus, which uses over 200,000 GPUs and 300 megawatts of power. Microsoft didn’t specify its exact number of GPUs nor the expected power consumption.” And that is the ball game. You see, the setting of 300MW is not just a lot, it is the entire ballgame. Now, there is evidently enough power in Wisconsin, but is it enough? Consider a simple PC. It has a 600W power supply. Now this is not the same, but I am getting to that. Take 200 PC’s, that makes it 120,000 Watts of energy. Now consider that hundreds of PC’s are needed to even partially validate the data coming into that place. You need data verification spots to do that. The larger setting could be done by data entry people, people who go over the received data and they need to work quick, almost uninterrupted. As such the quote “Microsoft didn’t specify its exact number of GPUs nor the expected power consumption” is as I personally see it, massively deceptive. Just like the stage of Builder.ai where Microsoft set it to over a billion dollars and in months that money was gone, they apparently spend it on under 200 programmers (test engineers) and that is merely the start of it. And when we talk about enough fibre to circumvent the planet 4.5 times you get 57,402 km of fibre won’t that take any energy? The numbers aren’t adding up and even as Wisconsin has energy, there is every likelihood that they ‘suddenly’ have a shortage of energy. Oh, what a damn shame and the setting of any data centre is that in case of a shortage of energy it all ends right quick, the moment the surplus hits zero, the issues start and they will immediately escalate. 

Further down that page we see the mention of Elon Musk: “Elon Musk confirms xAI is buying an overseas power plant and shipping the whole thing to the U.S. to power its new data center — 1 million AI GPUs and up to 2 Gigawatts of power under one roof, equivalent to powering 1.9 million homes”, well good luck with that idea. I am not saying it is impossible, but the setting of getting that all placed in a new location still requires a lot of concrete and not to mention the stage of the resources to get the plant going, so what is it? Gas, oil, coal, Uranium?

So what is fueling the Microsoft plant? And how much surplus energy will Wisconsin have left at that point? As I see it, there is a reason that Microsoft doesn’t give out the expected power consumption. And there are a few more items on that list, like validators (could be done remotely) so hundreds of people calling into that centre what drives the telecom settings? All issues that would have to be tackled on day one. 

As I see it, there is a lack of focal points, but as I see it, those who spin aren’t interested in that concept at all. Merely the floatation of the name in conjunction with “‘world’s most powerful’ AI data center”, didn’t Microsoft do this once before? Oh yes, the most powerful console in the world. How did that end with that Xbox series X? As far as I know it is trailing the weakest console (Nintendo Switch) by a lot and it is also trailing the PlayStation 5 a fair bit. So I am not keeping my hope up when Microsoft is juggling the setting “World’s most powerful…anything”

But then I have seen them play these cards for almost 40 years. And they could have taken advice from IBM on certain matters, like “This page is intentionally kept blank”

But that is just me.

The second setting is being pushed forward. I don’t want to write the wring thing and there are a few missing cogs in that story. Like the ‘new’ location on $4,300 billion retirement funds. And no one is talking so I have to dig.

Trinity of Doom

That is the setting I am invoking. It started innocent enough and that start came from the BBC (at https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg3llj5nxdo) where we see ‘Macrons to offer ‘scientific evidence’ to US court to prove Brigitte is a woman, lawyer says’ and my first response was ‘Are you freaking kidding me?’ You see, the response is as seen “Their lawyer says the French president and Mrs Macron will present the documentation in a defamation suit they have taken against the right-wing influencer Candace Owens after she promoted her belief that Brigitte Macron was born male.” And as I see it, that ID10T error named Candace Owens came after Australians after she claimed “Candace Owens compares Australian government to the Taliban, calling it a ‘tyrannical police state’, and “When do we deploy troops to Australia? When do we invade Australia and free an oppressed people who are suffering under a totalitarian regime?”” At that point I saw her for what she was a simplistic rabble rouser. And the best way to avoid her is not to listen to her. But at some point people like this as liable for what they say and here I am completely on the side of President Macron. So whilst I see “Speaking to the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast, the Macrons’ lawyer in the case, Tom Clare, said Mrs Macron had found the claims “incredibly upsetting” and they were a “distraction” to the French president.” I am definitely on their side giving no value to “Ms Owens’ lawyers have responded with a motion to dismiss the claim.” There is no avoiding the hardship, because people like this are all about making the ‘claim’ and then saying quietly sorry after dismissal. I think it is great that the Macrons take her to the cleaners. And that sets a rather large (and I am about to enlarge that stage too). You see, if convicted, she will not be able to enter any European country as she will be extradited to France and I reckon that this will happen in the United States too. The second stage is given (at https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c203n52x1y9o) also by the BBC. You see, these two elements started a rather nasty setting. I am not about to give voice to what it all is set to the stage of ‘ABC takes Jimmy Kimmel off air over Charlie Kirk comments’ and I wonder who was the simple soul here? I am not judging Jimmy Kimmel and I am not for (or against) Charlie Kirk. Never met the man, never heard his speeches. I am on the side on Mia Farrow here. She wrote on BlueSky “I disagreed with Charlie Kirk on every issue. But political violence is always reprehensible and horrific. A political motivated assassination is a tragedy for our country” I can identify with that, no matter how comedians twist whatever topic they embrace. This falls back to the Candace Owens setting as there is optionally a setting for liability and not just the one spouting this setting. There are issues with the Media Law as well and they could be a little different in France, but there is only so much ‘freedom of the press’ and when outright ‘incorrectness’ is spread. There are larger options to consider. 

This now reflects on these comedians and on advertisement. You see, Canada can now offer a juicy deal to Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel to host these two shows in Canada (one in Vancouver and one in the West (Ottawa or Quebec) and now see what happens when the advertisers come to Canada to spend their budgets. As the budgets come to Canada so will the listeners. This might be the first instance where the political administration of America sees Advertisement money go to Canada and it does not end there.

There is a larger setting that Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Egypt and a few others could set. You see, France has a while range of missiles that could be deployed and bought these country customers. So consider now the impact on Raytheon and Northrop Grumman and what revenue they could lose. So the smallest setting is that America politics impacted revenue from Tourism, Advertisement, Media and Defense spending. As such the words from US Ambassador Pete Hoekstra (at https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/us-ambassador-to-canada-disappointed-anti-american-campaign-1.7637534) where he gives us “I’m disappointed that I came to Canada — a Canada that it is very, very difficult to find Canadians who are passionate about the American-Canadian relationship,” Well, my view is that the remarks on Canada becoming the 51st state have everything to do with that and the Tariffs are just icing on the cake. And these remarks pissed off the larger Commonwealth. So in less than a year we see that Tourism was affected and still is, now there is a chance that Defense Spending is also speculatively effected and when two comedians move to Canadians channels advertisement money and media revenue go down (the way of the Dodo) as well. Is that enough clarity mister Ambassador?

As such there is word out that plenty of nations have had enough of President Donald ‘the duck’ Trump (according to a nameless source). I am sitting on a fence seeing it all happen and the moment that CTV signs up Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert the larger change to media will happen. It might take a little longer, but the change will be felt all over California and New York and they didn’t have enough bad news at present (to they?) 

America showing these fields giving way to France and China will start a panic drive from Wall Street and I am speculating that this presents itself all the way to the Banks all over America. A setting we saw partially coming, but the setting of Jimmy Kimmel will be a lot more profound. I wonder if the man can transfer to talking Canadian soon enough (like: a boot, instead of about) and so on.

More darkness behind the lights

I have been twisting and turning on this one, there is the case that you should not give an audience to crazy people,  because that is what it initially seemed like. Yet, I decided to take a deeper look and even as I do not agree with the Vlogger, he does put forward a decent argument and I can not pass up a decent argument. The argument (at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo-ub56O2Vw) starts right off the bat and the man (Decoy Voice) brings a good argument, yet there too we see issues and I am not blaming him, he brings the facts. Yet how far did he dig?

The Healthcare systems are buckling, not in the first in COVID, but on stupid patients making some freedom chant against vaccines and we see  again and again these people dying in some ICU on how wrong they were. Well, in the first they had no medical degree, they listened to other people who had no medical degree so there! 

Then we get the Horse Goo side of the story consider several sources giving us ‘Poisoning Caused By Horse Dewormer Up 168% Amid Right-Wing Propaganda’, so how wrong is this? Well there is a horse dewormer that was approved for human use, Ivermectin is a drug that is specific for intestinal problems and even then a few very specific ones. As such I wonder who prescribed that? It is not for the flu and it has no flu diminishing options, the scientific world at large warns about this. Yet I still fall short for calling these people nuts, some sources give us that none other than Fox News have made statements making claim that it was an option, I am merely repeating what other sources (Washington Post) claim and we have always seen Fox News as a news group, so people will fall for it. 

Then the Vlogger goes on pretty much attacking Jimmy Kimmel and there he misses the boat. Yes he is making these statements, so the Vlogger is not lying, but it is a comedy and his point of view is shared by me and many others. In a stage where healthcare is buckling you want to give priority on the patients who did everything right. The COVID part is not a fab, we have (at present) well over 4,638,546 cadavers and over 20,000,000 still being treated. This is not a US thing, it is global and I do not mind, when the stupid people die their jobs go to others lowering unemployment. 

Stupid People?
So why am I calling these people stupid? Medication is only one part, there are the anti vaccine people, the anti lockdown and the anti social distancing. In the first, there are reasons why people are anti vaccine and I accept that, but in all these cases (some religious) I accept that they want to live by the faith rule, but then the faith rule it is and you need not rely on doctors. The others are what I personally see a group of anti social people who seemingly want whatever they want at the expense of anyone else. Consider the image below, if only 5 people had it on that day, by the end of that day 50-100 more will have it on that day spreading the disease like wildfire. Now, I hate the lockdown just like anyone else, but this disease kills, it kills 2% and that was in the old setting, the new setting (the Delta variant) spreads faster and gives additional long term issues. 

How do I know this?
I listen to ACTUAL experts on the matter of infectious diseases. Dr. Anthony Fauci did not make the claim. He worked in this field from before 1983 in that time he gained the Maxwell Finland Award (1989), Ernst Jung Prize (1995), Lasker Award (2007), Robert Koch Prize (Gold, 2013) and a few others. So this man was working actively in the field of infectious diseases before some of the self proclaimed false prophets wielding their ‘cure’ were born. And there is no stage where I find it acceptable that healthcare people have to take the insult, the abuse and the loudly voiced claims, in this I support Jimmy Kimmel ‘Let them die’, we could do with fewer people on this world I say. 

I get it, it is not fair on those who did everything right and they got it all done (including vaccinations) and there is a small group who will still not make it and age is a factor. Yes, I agree in some cases it is not fair, but so is the stage given by USA Today when we saw (Yesterday) ‘Alabama man dies of cardiac event after 43 hospitals with full ICUs turned him away’, so can you take that in for a second? Around Alabama 43 hospitals had no beds in ICU to treat this man. As such, my personal feelings were that the anti vaccine people taking up those beds had to be thrown out of the hospitals to take care of actual sick people and here is the rub. Those who self inflict disease on themselves, they should not be allowed to take the bed of those who work according to the rules of the game. Here is where I go up against Decoy voice. Jimmy Kimmel gave his view and he is allowed this, we see the first attack on Jimmy at 00:38. As I see it Jimmy was not the arbiter of truth, he gave his point of view and I agree with him, so will many others. But in this I do not attack Decoy Voice his point of view. I might not completely agree yet at 5:12 his point of view comes out and he does make valid points. When NBC Today (seemingly) tweets that the head of the CDC stated that the third one was based on hope not data, that is an issue and Decoy Voice should bring that in his Vlog. 

In opposition
In opposition we need to consider a few items, the first is that this disease is still evolving. There is now a Delta variant, the initial vaccines have an impact, people who get the Delta variant will get sick but their system will get over it faster and better. If any vaccine will take 15-18 months, we will not see a proper vaccine for the Delta variant until January 2023, so how many people will die in the mean time? The fact that Pfizer and Moderna were able to produce a vaccine 6 months ahead of schedule is nothing short of a miracle, but the media does not really wonder about that side, do they? Should we take a vaccine based on hope? That is the hard question and I would listen to the point of view of Dr Fauci, the ACTUAL expert. 

Why the doubt?
I remain to some degree in doubt. You see I have no idea how the entire Ivermectin got started, it got started somehow and I wonder how it was, but it is for the FBI to investigate and prosecute the people behind that part. You see this is not about freedom of speech, this is about causing the reckless death and dangerous health conditions, I reckon that the headline ‘Poisoning Caused By Horse Dewormer Up 168%’ takes care of that and now the FBI will need to investigate Fox News as well, if they voiced that than they will have to show proof publicly or be denied the airwaves. I reckon that we will get all kinds of crying executives when FoxNews gets a 120 day shutdown order on all digital media sources. The media blatantly shows information without proper vetting and that needs to end, people are dying here. 

I missed a few items, but you can watch the video, because he does bring decent point of argument, I do not agree with several of his points but perhaps you do. In the end I am all for freedom of speech and in this the threshold for a Vlogger is lower than a news media, he is merely opinionated  and he uses plenty of sources. He merely got on my bad side when he attacked Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy is funny as hell nearly all of the time (Matt Damon seemingly disagrees).

That’s entertainment

Today is a weird day, it is globally weird. You see, today billions will focus on who is getting an Academy Award, some are hoping to see the idol of their life, like Chris Hemsworth or Scarlett Johansson. Some hope that Stan Lee will be asked to hand out an Oscar and others (many ladies) are hoping to see the extravagant post fashion styles that the ladies will cloth themselves in. Among them millions of movie fans that get to see if it is the movie that they liked will win the Oscar. Now with Saudi Arabia opening cinemas in Saudi Arabia, will the MBC Group be there this year or will they start broadcasting the event next year? Another optional group of 34 million viewers in a group that currently is set to billions.

So whilst we wonder which one will become the best movie, my vote is on the Shape of Water, yet I believe the statue is likely to go to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. No matter who will win, we see that in Syria ‘forces loyal to the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, have captured six villages and towns bordering the besieged rebel-held enclave of eastern Ghouta, as hopes that a long-planned humanitarian convoy might enter the area were dashed again‘, so as we learn that the death toll of 103 since Saturday highlighted the paralysis of an international community that had demanded the ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid, we need to realise that the UN and the UNSC has become nothing more than a paper tiger that has the ability to roar towards the media, but without claws and teeth, it can no longer be the legislation that bites, or the shield that scratches. Just like the Wonder Woman 1:1 figurine (at https://www.cbr.com/life-size-wonder-woman-statue/), that is for sale for $1990, pretty, nice, but basically something you can walk around and unless you have real space in your apartment space that remains wasted but for the true Wonder Woman fan. It is a shame that the once mighty organisation has lost its impact on the world, well that is how the 475,000 fatalities in Syria feel about it. Oh, no, they do not. They are dead, they no longer feel anything.

So whilst we look back on the Oscars, wondering who best actor and actress will be, I have to admit that I am clueless. I had not seen Margot Robbie, or Saoirse Ronan, but both Francess McDormand and Meryl Streep did shine in their parts, my money will this time be on the 3 billboards main character, but it is anyone’s guess, I can’t even be sure if the experts in acting can figure out who will win that one. So as we are in that part, we need to realise that Danny Danon is quoted by the Jerusalem Post (at http://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/UN-Ambassador-Danny-Danon-decries-UN-inaction-on-Iran-at-AIPAC-544188) to do something about Iran. Now, this is not the first time that Israel has issues with Iran. So when we see “While speaking at the AIPAC Committee Policy Conference in Washington on Sunday, Danon said it was crucial that the international community recognizes the threat Iran poses to regional stability. “It is vital that the UN focus on the real problems of the world, like Iran,” the ambassador said. “We all know just how dangerous this threat is, but the UN is wasting time and energy on votes and reports against Israel.”” we see nothing new, yet in the opposition, we see (at https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/03/iran-calls-on-us-europe-to-scrap-nuclear-arms-missiles.html), that Iran has a warped sense of needs. With “Iran will not negotiate over its ballistic missiles until the United States and Europe dismantle their nuclear weapons, a top Iranian military official said on Saturday“, so not China, or Russia, or India. Merely that the US and Europe dismantle is. From my point of view, the ‘top Iranian military official‘ was born stupid and the man stopped evolving after birth. Naive and stupid in one efficiently compact package, could we get it any better? So when we see “Iran says its nuclear program is defensive because of its deterrent nature“, should we consider its delivery to Yemen as a defensive posture? And what happens when the Iranians ‘accidently‘ (due to their lack of intelligence) send the wrong missile to Yemen? Will we get to see the UN representative go ‘oops!‘? I am merely asking because of the short-sighted situation here and in all this the stage of the theatres in politics and the theatres of war seem to overlap, none of them worthy of an Oscar in this particular setting, but we thank the nominees for playing their part. So whilst we saw the Paper Tiger called ‘United Nations’ in other settings, we see that the acts by the “UN Human Rights Council’s “blacklist” of Israeli and international companies operating in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the Golan Heights” is setting the premise in a different light. So whilst we see “a US delegation visiting the West Bank had to be rescued by Palestinian Authority policemen on Thursday after being attacked“, we see that Palestine is still demanding to be recognised by the UN, whilst still sending rockets into Israel. Some things will never change I reckon, but it is a sad state of affairs across the decades.

When it comes to the supporting acts in the Oscars, my hopes are for Sam Rockwell and Octavia Spencer, that whilst the others would be equally deserving, especially Richard Jenkins, yet in the end, we can only cast out votes once and that is how I would have voted. In that same light as the United Nations Security Council cast its vote a week ago on a Russian sponsored resolution regarding Yemen, we see that the Toronto Star reported that 55 people dies in the clash in Yemen, so whilst we see (at https://www.defensenews.com/congress/2018/03/01/us-senators-want-vote-to-end-support-for-saudi-arabia-in-yemen-war/), that we see ‘US senators want vote to end support for Saudi Arabia in Yemen war‘, that whilst the rightful ruler asked for the help of Saudi Arabia, in all this, where was America? Oh and where is America in regards to the Syrian war? Perhaps some will remember the attack on 21st of August 2013, so when the UN inspection got there and they confirmed “clear and convincing evidence” of the use of Sarin delivered by surface-to-surface rockets; in addition a 2014 report by the UN Human Rights Council found that “significant quantities of sarin were used in a well-planned indiscriminate attack targeting civilian-inhabited areas, causing mass casualties. The evidence available concerning the nature, quality and quantity of the agents used on 21 August indicated that the perpetrators likely had access to the chemical weapons stockpile of the Syrian military, as well as the expertise and equipment necessary to safely manipulate large amount of chemical agents“. Yet the American satellites were useless, even as they got the IMAX view with stereo sound of the speculated 1600 bodies, who all screamed a horrible death as they died, the American saw nothing, or so they say. Perhaps it is like Turkey and the Armenian genocide. They were just too worried to kick the wrong political pile, or as the NY Times stated it “A bill to that effect nearly passed in the fall of 2007, gaining a majority of co-sponsors and passing a committee vote. But the Bush administration, noting that Turkey is a critical ally — more than 70 per cent of the military air supplies for Iraq go through the Incirlik airbase there — pressed for the bill to be withdrawn, and it was” (at http://www.nytimes.com/ref/timestopics/topics_armeniangenocide.html) and Bush was not alone The Obama administration did the same with “Ben Rhodes and Samantha Power, key foreign policy advisers to Obama, say his administration was too worried about offending Turkey” (at https://www.politico.com/story/2018/01/19/armenian-genocide-ben-rhodes-samantha-power-obama-349973), pussies, the whole bloody lot of them on both sides of the isle. So as we get “As a presidential candidate in 2008, Obama promised that he would formally recognize an Armenian genocide as historical fact. But as president, he passed up multiple chances to do so, including in 2015, when Armenians marked the 100th anniversary of the atrocities“, we need to recognise that recognition is no way to commerce and cash is king, especially in a bankrupt America, or so say the rulers from Wall Street. So in light of the inactions, will Hollywood make it up by making ‘Last Men in Aleppo‘ documentary of the year? I cannot tell because I did not see any of the documentaries, I do believe that Inside Job in 2010 was the last documentary I saw and that one actually gives more rise to the rumours that Wall Street is the actual ruler of America. The fact that Kim Kardashian, yes Kim Kardashian of all people who ended up bitch slapping the Wall Street Journal for denying the Armenian genocide must be the highlight for the WSJ to set in stone, sometimes the people you ignore because they are outside of ones scope of entertainment are the ones surprising you beyond belief. So as we are getting close to the start of the Oscars, as we wonder if there is going to be the crossing of dictionaries between Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon, we wonder if Jimmy is going to get a few jabs in against Mrs Damon’s favourite Martian.

As we wonder whether the UN has any values left by targeting Israel whilst ignoring Iran, whilst their actions regarding Syria are unanswered and unnoticed by Syria and Russia, we also see the accusations via Haaretz (at https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/allegation-kushner-punished-qatar-resurfaces-in-mueller-probe-1.5869124), that ‘Kushner Punished Qatar for Not Investing in Real-estate Deal Resurfaces in Mueller Probe‘, where we see “Special Counsel Robert Mueller has asked witnesses about Kushner’s attempts to secure financing for his family’s real estate ventures, focusing specifically on his talks with people from Qatar and Turkey, as well as Russia, China and the United Arab Emirates, NBC News said“, so even as it is about Qatar, the smallest part with ‘talks with people from Qatar and Turkey‘, so even here we see actions that involve Turkey somehow. The question becomes what did Turkey get out of it, because going back to 2001, we have seen that Turkey only acts when it (largely) benefits Turkey, a stance that cannot be faulted, but we can wonder if the other side has any business trying to do business with Turkey in the first place. so when we look at the Global Magnitsky Act (at https://www.hrw.org/news/2017/09/13/us-global-magnitsky-act), where we see: “In an important step for global accountability, Congress built on the original Russia-focused Magnitsky law in 2016 and enacted the Global Magnitsky Act, which allows the executive branch to impose visa bans and targeted sanctions on individuals anywhere in the world responsible for committing human rights violations or acts of significant corruption. Senator Ben Cardin, a Maryland Democrat, introduced a version of the bill, and five Republican senators and five Democratic senators signed on as co-sponsors. President Barack Obama signed the law on December 23, 2016“, yet as far as I have been able to find, there are no Turkish Parties in any of this, is that not odd. When we see the acts in Syria, or even closer to Turkey, the 6 journalists that have been ‘praised’ with life imprisonment, how humane has Turkey shown itself to be?

Yet in the end, we can see all this as a mere form of entertainment, there are the Oscars, we have the Raspberries where (unsurprisingly) this year the Emoji movie took a near clean sweep of all possible wins, we could get the Golden Bazooka, or the golden Rack (that device that adds 6 inches to your length in 5 minutes), is there any doubt who would win those trophies? I wonder if people would stay at home for that. Eating popcorn, watching the atrocities and voting who was the worst of the worst. It entertainment, that is how our lives are minimised and scrutinised to, because actually improving the overall state of the world might no longer be an option, in that we can see that the financial sector on a global scale removed all available funds for that endeavour.

That’s life, that’s entertainment and it is the way we now choose to live!
