Yesterday’s news

Yup, that happens. We have a setting that involves the news, but it was yesterday. That was the quirky giggle I gave myself when I was alerted to ‘Ana de Armas fans told they can sue over Yesterday trailer’ (at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64076747). I had no idea what it was about, but I was definitely curious at that point. So I had a gander at the BBC article. There we see “Two fans of the actress Ana de Armas filed a lawsuit in January after renting the 2019 film Yesterday. The actress was seen in the trailer, but the pair were disappointed to find she had been cut from the final film.” And moreover, the lost pounds (all three of them) results in “Woulfe and Rosza are seeking at least $5 million (£4.1m) from Universal in the case”, I believe it is a bit much, but that was decided. And if you think that this was the end of it. No no no no! There is more.

It is the sad setting that I wanted to have some entertainment as well and I found it. You see, the events on the WIKI page are correct, yet Google gives us the image below.

The wrong information is handed to us by Google, so shame on you Papa Smurf (Sergey Brin), shame on you! And the giggle for me is that there is now at least ONE case where Wiki is more accurate than Google. Not a bad setting to start Christmas with. So anyone wanna guess how Google missed 6 billion in revenue that I did not miss? Well, still trying to collect on it though, which is a different task and a titanic one at that. I asked both Perses and Oceanus for advice, but they basically told me to fuck off (the greek equivalent is a lot less eloquent).

Still, I found a little gem so I will enjoy my lamb stew a little more than I would have otherwise. So when ever you find something like this, enjoy the moment. The big techies can miss things too.

Unions

The thought took me by surprise. I had been playing Minecraft that day and the dream took me in a different direction, the merging of games. Now in the case of Minecraft this might merely be a DLC, or added to the game, but the stage opens up new directions in gaming.

To give you the rundown, I need to take you on a small trip. In my days of the Atari ST, the game ‘The Sentinel’ was released and I was happy, a remake was made in the late 90’s and it was awesome on PC, the music was fantastic and the game left an even deeper impression. The game is about a sentinel, it cleans the world, it rotates and nothing will survive in its gaze. It seems simple, but the 3D landscape is tricky and there are 1000 levels (if I remember correctly). So to win you need to get to the highest point and devour the Sentinel. The game is simple, but addictive and the PC edition even more so. But what happens when we take the Sentinel and make it massive, it cannot be devoured. Yet if you can get close to it, you could ‘attack’ it and get glowing bricks from it. The glowing bricks give the player powers. Blue will drop never ending water when active, red drops lava and so on. Yellow becomes a sun beacon. The Sentinel however changes the landscape it sees, and as such destroys your house, reduces it to rubble (with all the stuff still there. A rare event that changes the speed of the game and creates chaos. But that is merely one side, so what happens when we have BOTH games? We have thought of it and it does not always apply, but what happens when we have games from the same maker? For example AC Origin and AC Valhalla? They have implemented the cosmetic parts in later games, but what if we can push it both ways and more than just cosmetic? So Horizon Zero Dawn AND Horizon forbidden West? The games can be played separately, but what if we could unite these games? Add even more terrain? That is (optionally) the power of streaming games, streaming games will make this possible.

It is a continuation of an idea I had in the past (and wrote about it). The original EA CBM64 game ‘Murder on the Zinderneuf’ now with a Bioshock look. Fully 3D, yet that is merely the start. For the Amazon Luna, the idea came for Luna keys, gold and silver. So when you play the game you could find a chess set, when found the option opens up to unlock THAT chess set in the game chess. It makes for a new setting of long term gaming. In addition, the idea came that could open up other games and other makeover of games. Like the game Clue, Harry Potter themes (if that was open to offer) and so on. In that same stage Assassins Creed 2 could offer a renaissance Italian chess set and so on. Not every game will offer this, but with every iteration that does we add value to gaming, we add interest in people who like to play chess to play other games. When you play the new version of ‘Murder on the Zinderneuf’ a game like monopoly would suddenly get an additional playable token (the Hindenburg) and it is that interaction that gamers will become hungry for and they will play more, enjoy more and experiment more. The power of streaming games is not unlocked for the simple reason that the game owners are merely looking to ‘copy’ their game on a new platform, to get more names, more players but no one is looking in creating better players, more fun and more joy. It is seemingly past them.

It is a stage that needs to be looked at now, because the new makers of systems are looking in that direction and there is no price for second place. As I see it The Tencent Streaming solution is merely a year away. The current owners squandered billions, lost the middle east and now Tencent is about to offer new options, new terrains and they will offer it to millions more. So how much of the playfield will Amazon surrender? Google left the gaming sphere and Microsoft remains useless (which they will spin in a direction like blaming Sony), but the truth is that these three players left well over 6 billion a year on the field and that field is now increasing and is slowly moving towards Tencent. Yes another fine mess they left the gamers.  The only player, who had their own niche is Apple and I have no idea what they are up to, they play their cards close to their chest. But they could be the new winner in the 11th hour. I cannot tell, too much speculation on that direction.

But the union of games is a natural concept in streaming games and look at how many offered that stage, the simple answer is none. And when Tencent does offer it, they basically become winner by default. It was so easy to actually listen to gamers (something Microsoft has never done). Sony and Nintendo were not streaming solutions and they have THEIR market. The others (Apple excepted) did this to themselves. Consider what you read here and consider what you see in gaming and then see how natural the ideas actually are.

Rescue James Gunn!

Yes, that is quite the order and lets be clear, there is no indication the man needs saving. Yet there is the case that he and his compadre (Peter Safran) need to create an entire DC universe. And for some reason something triggered. Not sure what triggered it, or how it got triggered. Yet the creative mind in me started to mull things over. In the first it was merely about the Green Lantern (not Ryan Reynolds shining moment), but then my mind wandered a little further. It went to the 70’s when I read some of those comics, a friend had them. And I remember a moment when there was someone else. I had to look it up, because it was decades ago and it was the character John Stewart. I remember one image (Black and White) and the phrase ‘Beware my light!’

It is all I had, but it was enough for my imaginative brain, the images of a darker, grittier Green lantern started to evolve. A story about human slavery and smuggling. You see, on a planet like this where people are abundant, one could assume that smuggling the ones no one cares about would be well established. We see this in episode Anne (Buffy season 3 episode 1) and that was not the first instance. But to set in motion a complete human trafficking ‘solution’ that also has a way to resolve it all over the place Green Lantern way is not the easiest task. There remains the ‘realism’ part of course. Yet the stage where Green Lantern needs to shine it light becomes a much larger task, and lets be clear If the two Black Panther movies clearly set out is that there is a market for African American super heroes. In this my initial vote goes to Donnell Whittenburg. He has the physique, he has the agility to do the stunts that a Green Lantern needs to do and he could pull them off without breaking a sweat. There are more people who can equal it, but that is up to the casting teams. I am merely fuelling the idea for a new DC avenue. I cannot say whether Donny is up to the task, or if he has skeletons in his closet (just going by the issues that DC faces with Ezra Miller), but one has to start somewhere. In all we might get to see a cameo with Saint Lively less saintly husband to hand over the torch, we all have to start somewhere and it fits the rules of continuation.

From there we have the ’formulated’ parts, but I believe that throwing a ‘hero’ of the deep end in a place where he has no hope of resolving anything, to a stage where he could get into his own trouble. I remember a comic where Hal Jordan gets exposed to Venom (what makes Bane strong), what if it opens up the imagination of the new Green Lantern, after he has to do serious battle with himself? I also just learned that there was supposed (or will be) a series based on this Green Lantern. So I am not sure where that is, but as some say. Great minds work alike. In the age of contracting economies, we need to find fuel for all kettles to avoid the rapids, which will sink any ship. As such the idea has merit, but there are a few issues all over the place. No matter how we see it, sometimes we hope that there is a thought that gives someone else the idea that they could use it, entire economies grew on the idea of others. Tesla (screw Edison), Marconi, Martin Cooper, Tim Berners-Lee and the dapper duo of Sergey Brin and Larry Page to name but a few. Oh right, I forgot about the Zuckerberg dude. Still good ideas are where you find them and the focal point on the idea. The world is full of them if you only listen and look in the right direction.

Well, I leave it up to you to create the other 173 DC fiends and villains. Have a great Friday and enjoy the holiday season.

Blame Canada

Yup, it happens, it is decently rare though. The rumour has it when the EU wants to upgrade Human Law issues, they look at the law books from New Zealand and Canada and copy what they need (allegedly). So when the CBC (at https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/yvr-vancouver-international-airport-flights-cancelled-dec-20-2022-1.6693067)

gave me ‘‘I may never fly again’: Horror stories from the Vancouver airport’ I definitely took notice. And I have to admit, there is an issue, a different one than reported, but there is one. It made me think back 25 years when I had the quirkiest sense of humour.  I was at Iraklion airport and the plane was delayed. 6 hours delayed. This happens, but Iraklion had no bar, no cafe a broken down coffee machine and a tax free shop. I was not going to spend 6 hours drinking alcohol, so I had to suck it up. There was no food either, so by the time the plane FINALLY arrived, I was as quirky as I had ever been. As I walked to the plane I saw a highly rusted 2” bolt, I picked it up and walked into the plane. I asked for the chief engineer (who came quickly but seemed puzzled). I handed the rusty bolt to him stating it had fallen out of his engine, he might want to hold onto it. The first 10 rows of passengers turned completely white and the demon on my right shoulder slapped my neck with the comment ‘Nicely done!’ The captain off course sought me out 2-3 minutes later telling me that one more joke like that and he would have me evicted from the plane. Ah well, the life of a comedian is never without obstacles.

So back to the article, you see, we get the part of “During those 11 hours, whenever Hudson became restless, she gave her baby some formula to calm him down. She’d brought two days’ worth — by the end, she had just one sachet left”, we get it the emotional baby stories hits a mark with every parent. As well as “When she mentioned this to a customer service agent, she was told she’d have to leave the airport to buy more formula. “I don’t know where I’m going to go and get formula,” Caley said.” In the first, weather is unpredictable and the storms they had lately are one of a kind. But there is a side that has value. Every airport the size of Vancouver needs to have a basic shop, a 7-11 like place with pharmacy where basic stuff like foods, baby foods, medication and firs aid events can be acquired. Perhaps a need for Canada to place a Shoppers Drug Mart in every airport in the checked in side, with a few optional extras like baby food and formula. About 4 hours ago CBC also gives us ‘Vancouver airport restricting international flights for 2 days to clear backlog after snowstorm’, a stage we cal all see and Canadians more clearly then most others and when we see this, there is a larger call for amenities in stores. I wonder how many are on that train with food for thought? The additional stage where these airlines hand out Tim Horton vouchers so that the people can get some coffee, some food and even as these passengers get one voucher, the option to buy more would be well appreciated. So in 327 seconds I saw options where the press (in this case CBC) reports a ‘horror story’. Don’t get me wrong a mother our of her mind because she cannot appease the baby is a real horror (and more dangerous than the Russian infantry at present), but that sets us in solution seeking mode, not in reporting the horror mode, at least not me.

And when I see “WestJet sent Caley an email saying it wouldn’t be able to rebook until after Christmas and offered no accommodation because the delay was due to weather. They have no idea when they’ll be able to get to Toronto”, but there are trains from Toronto to Vancouver, it could solve the issue for a lot of people and that is a larger stage, now I get that places like WestJet (with a lack of margins) might not have that option, but the setting releases pressure from the airport. Just a thought, was that so hard? I know it is not feasible by bus or car, and they will have options outside in Vancouver, but that also raises the issue, what options did WestJet have? I am not blaming them, we see the news and we know that some storms could never be predicted, yet what was known? What could have been cared for? This is not a unique situation in Canada or Alaska for that matter. These are questions I do not have answers to, but the Canadians do and WestJet should have some answers (perhaps they do), but we do not see them here and that matters. The question at this point becomes was this about the bottom dollar for WestJet? I am not accusing, I am asking and that is also on the CBC, there is no article that shows how Canadian airports dal with a situation like this and for me “We sincerely apologise to all of those impacted” does not hold water. Not when people are stuck for well over a week in one location and this might be a one off, but that too was not reported on, was it?

The question remains

I got news about 10 hours ago from Al Arabiya. There we are given ‘Saudi Arabia approves draft agreements on atomic energy, economic crime’ (at https://english.alarabiya.net/News/saudi-arabia/2022/12/21/Saudi-Arabia-approves-draft-agreements-on-atomic-energy-economic-crime)

The article gives us a few items that require the limelight, even as the western papers give it no attention, the event described here is one with a lit of impact.

  • members approved a framework agreement to cooperate with Morocco in “the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy”
  • a draft Memorandum of Understanding with Uzbekistan to help allow the countries to exchange of information “related to money laundering, terrorist financing and related crimes,”
  • a draft agreement with Greece, to foster cooperation in health between the countries,
  • a draft agreement with Italy to help encourage direct investments between the countries, and a draft agreement with Ghana to develop non-oil exports between the states.

These are the four big ones, there are four more. And when you consider the map, we see that within a year the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be the largest economic partner for the important parts of North Africa, Egypt, Morocco and as ties are stronger connected with Tel Aviv, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now the powerhouse in the Mediterranean. Greece, Italy and soon better ties with Turkey. This was always going to happen, I predicted it, but my view was that this was 3-4 years away. It seems I missed the target by at least 2 years. 2023 will open the doors and I reckon that larger gains will be Made in 2024. Saudi Arabia is now in a setting where it will be able to drive commerce that is not oil based soon enough and stronger than ever before.

And that is before you see the steps that China is opening up, but it also implies that China is a lot stronger to become the defence dealer of choice, billions and billions of dollars that are about to be lost to the EU and US. I warned them that this was coming and now the steps of making sure it happens will become a reality. It does not make me happy as I miss out on my 3.75% bonus check and on $27,800,000,000 that is a lofty loss. Such is life!

Now there is a second stage in play, the article does not bear it out, but I reckon that the Kingdom Holding Company will get a few other options going their way. I do not know how, but the Kingdom loves partners in this (I learned that at the Saudi Consulate several weeks ago). What is in play is that there are several options for Israeli growth. Not just the NSO group, but NICE with their CXone platform will set a larger stage of cloud centres for the Line and Neom. From there as they make their solution more Arabic, they will get a handle on several fields in several nations. And we all see the stages as they evolve, well that is if you read English Saudi News casts, the west seems to filter it away and when we see too much of this, it becomes a joke what the west is and has been the last decade. Filtering news information was never a good idea and you are about to see why. Saudi Arabia is active in growing business in Egypt, Morocco, Greece, Italy, Indonesia, and China. Consider the loss of revenue for the EU and the US? Is no one asking questions? And this is merely what can be seen for 2023. I reckon that several nations will go into crises mode in the next week, because some of them were moved from consideration column A to column C. Only a blind person ignores is and one with an oversized ego ignores it. When will we learn that we cater to the players who have it and the US doesn’t have it, and the EU has even less at present. There is every indication that by 2025 the Saudi Telecom Company will be the biggest player in North Africa and the Middle East. This will have larger implications when Indonesia is added to that network. It was a simple cascade stage and it is about to become a reality. From there there is every chance that the STC will enter Europe as a new player and one wielding a formidable bat. That is what I see as optional changes. So whilst we see the EU and US with contracting economies, we get to see another one grow and it is about to grow by a lot.

Have fun!

The murky river

The mind can get murky and this case it is me. I do not believe it is the case, but I must be willing to consider that THIS time around, I could be wrong. It all started when CNBC (at https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/19/meta-could-face-11point8-billion-fine-as-eu-charges-it-with-antitrust-breach.html) gave me ‘Meta could face $11.8 billion fine as EU charges tech giant with breaching antitrust rules’, now to be clear, even for the legally trained mind (mine) anti-trust cases are a nightmare from start to finish. So here goes!

The European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, said that it found Meta breached EU antitrust rules by distorting competition in the markets for online classified ads. The Commission took issue with Meta’s pairing of the Facebook Marketplace service, which lets users list items for sale, with its personal social network, Facebook.” My issues is ‘Are you f’ing nuts?’ Facebook is a free service, it makes income by selling ads, what is wrong with that? With the added “Furthermore, we are concerned that Meta imposed unfair trading conditions, allowing it to use of data on competing online classified ad services”, now lets be clear, I do not have the highest regard for Danes to begin with, but two things will happen if this fine becomes a reality. In the first I will demand that Coca Cola will it its premises be forced to sell Pepsi Cola on that same term, Pepsi Cola will have to sell Coca Cola on their turf, as such Coca Cola might win, but this is about the form. In the second she would need to get her chest into gear and make sure that EVERY Danish supermarket has Danish AND Swedish mineral water. The EU would not act when Microsoft destroyed Netscape, now that it has no place to go, it starts to cry to the EU, but this is not merely Microsoft. This is the EU trying to find ways to spice their pockets. I will make it my mission in life to evangelise the need to anti trust cases all over Denmark and the EU. All with a slightly personal nature.

It might not have acted in the case of Google and Meta, but that leaves them with an additional avenue which knocks on the door of Amazon (yet again). Anti-trust is a complex setting, it is also a setting that is based on stages that are decades old. So when we consider “EU Antitrust policy is developed from Articles 101 and 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). Article 101 prohibits anti-competitive agreements between two or more independent market operators.” And I wonder how far this goes. Yet it was Yahoo! Finance that gave me a handle. It is “Our preliminary concern is that Meta ties its dominant social network Facebook to its online classified ad services called Facebook Marketplace. This means that users of Facebook automatically have access to Facebook Marketplace, whether they want it or not.

In the first, Facebook gives a free service because they sell advertisement, that is still a factor. The second part is that if you seek Google, you can find several other advertisers. Yes they have a disadvantage because THEY HAVE NO CASH and Meta has billions. Still there are issues, but the largest one is that I want to see who gave the complaint. It is time to see what kind of wanker the EU works for. Facebook (now Meta) created a system, they offer it for free as they sell ads, this was in play for over a decade. In the same thing that Google Ads was the place for those who wanted to specify where they were. They were the visionaries, the leeching rest (like Microsoft and their Bing) missed the train because they thought they were clever. They were not. Now, I am not the greatest ally of Facebook, but fair is fair, they brought a system no one saw coming. And now they are screaming ‘foul play’ because the viagra managers forgot that whilst they were having their fun, others create new borders (like TikTok), or as a comedian would say ‘Content Homo Erectus got eaten before injecting its DNA’, for me it is a split case. This system is open to interpretation, it is open to outdated laws and inadequate CEO’s, COO’s and more of that trash. My Evidence? I placed in Public Domain IP worth over 20 billion a year. And when my first 5G device is released (encrypted) on 4chan the game changes even more.

It shows the wannabe’s how far they were off target, and my happy moment? Google and Amazon were both in the dark for part one, how much more they are missing? I have no idea and I do not care, at the end of my life I will end with the last laugh, because they cannot overcome public domain.

Creation of thoughts

This started 2 days ago for me. An actress posted a clip on Twitter. I read it and gave my view on this and I got blocked. Fair enough, not everyone agrees with my assessment. That is until last night I saw the news on SBS (at https://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/jeremy-clarkson-said-he-wanted-to-see-excrement-thrown-at-meghan-markle-his-daughter-wasnt-happy/nzwukmwpn) there I saw the clip was from from Jeremy Clarkson. The article gave me more. And also reenforced that my view was almost spot on.

It was the clip from Dan Walker that supported my view that there were red flags all over the place. Optionally the same I saw. The reference to Game of Thrones season 5 episode 10 was clearly on top. So not only are the thoughts of Clarkson plagiaristic to say the least, the fact that he sets a medieval view in todays world. Now lets be clear, Harry and Meghan are for all intense and purposes royals and I am a royalist. I do not care for reality TV, no matter who brings it. I did not watch the episodes just like I avoid the Kardashians. I do not hate the Kardashians, I think that  reality TV is for those who forget to live and I am not one of those people. Then the idea of hatred to that ‘cellular’ level. I personally believe that unless you personally know a person this level of hate is not real, it is optionally a mental condition, but like I wrote to the actress (name not important) that this is a determination that needs to be made by professionals. But the allegedly delusional setting gives me that there are mental health issues in play. Am I right?

That is under debate, but I believe that a professional needs to assess it, until then Jeremy Clarkson has become an optional danger to the royals and he needs investigating by MI5 and Scotland Yard. The change of endangering a royal makes that essential. Yes, we saw messages that the column is now removed, which gets me to the BBC article (at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64029690) where we see ‘Jeremy Clarkson says he is ‘horrified’ over Meghan column’ an hour ago, this is not sincerity, this is damage control.

I see the damage control as an essential act when over 12,000 people wrote to complain, but I reckon that is merely the UK, A-listers tweeted the column and the damage is a lot larger than we can see at present. It goes to the degree that I think that MI5 and Scotland Yard needs to investigate a little more and in a wider field. Endangering royals is what I perceive to be a serious crime and “I put my foot in it” does not hold any bacon as I see it. A column is not written in seconds, it is not on the trail of a simple typo, or an oops moment. This took time and it festered, the mention that he lies in bed at night contemplating it makes it wore and it instills the thought to others. The additional worries are seen with ““Everyone who’s my age thinks the same way,” he added. “But what makes me despair is that younger people, especially girls, think she’s pretty cool. They think she was a prisoner of Buckingham Palace, forced to talk about nothing but embroidery and kittens.”” I do not, but mostly for other reasons. The issue becomes that this should not have met with approval of the editor of the Sun, which as far as I know is edited by Victoria Newton and Keith Poole. So both could have stopped this from print and the fact that Clarkson was overwhelmed by a scene from the Game of Thrones should have impacted their block even stronger.

It gets to be worse when you realise (I did not initially) that the referenced Rose West was a serial killer who, along with her husband Fred, murdered at least 12 young girls over 20 years. That makes it a lot worse, the fact that a Royal is hated more than a mass murderer? I have no real thoughts on the two royals as I do not know them, I have no real intent on getting to know them, I have a life and it is slightly ruled by my desire to sell my IP before I retire. It is a setting of priorities, personal priorities, it is that simple.

Yet what also happened just now is that SBS and the BBC have not mentioned the Sun (other than casual) or the editors/chief editor of the Sun. This all passed the barge and was published. There is no pointing fingers at a columnist here, yes the brunt of the blame will be on Jeremy Clarkson, but the Sun and its editors do not get away with clean hands here. They are at least in part to blame, whether it was for visibility, digital dollars or whatever reason, they are now part of this and the media protect itself, no matter how disgusting their peers are.

I wonder if any attention will be pushed in that direction, I doubt it, but we could all remain hopeful.

Can prose lead to presumption?

Yes, a mystery for sure, but then the universe tends to have a warped sense of humour. This all started yesterday when the Dutch NOS gave me the idea with ‘This is how we seek for life in the Universe’, you see, we can search the quadrillion of stars that might give us the answer, or we can look at 1,000,000 places the will give us the answer. The riddle was never scientific, it was a set of variables that an engineer could use to find what he needs, and therefor we see wht others need too.

Before we take that journey, we need to take heed of one part, the US allegedly have found the solution to a working fusion reactor. This might switch on the lights in a city, but for space travel not really a working solution. To see this I need to give you an example. Most people remember the age of the Moped, a 2 stroke system almost 50cc. It works but for what we need, we would need a Triumph Rocket R3, a very nice bike that will not get you anywhere with a 2-stroke engine. You need more powerful fuel and a big ass engine. The problem is that Uranium is pretty much the best we can do on this world.

We are a temperate world and you need layer 7 elements to get anywhere.

The first element
The first element is not the most vital one, but has essential abilities. It is Negrinium, it has a black crystalline structure and the rings of Saturn have a decent supply of it. When these crystals are shaped like a comb and fusion energy is pushed through it, the Negrinium will align and direct the energy, it is a great way to direct fusion power. It is not the most essential part, but you will get 10%-25% better use of fusion power. Negrinium is found not unlike Amethyst in rocks, the crystals are on the inside. The rocks are slightly harder (read: tougher) than granite, but it keeps the Negrinium safe.

The second element
This is a more difficult one. Like Uranium there is a 235 and 238 version. This one, named Klaventium comes in 4 versions, the largest one is the right one, the other three create a very toxic version of waste and the only place to story it is on the world you found it in the first place and it better be safely stored for over 150,000 years. The biggest version is the good one, it burns clean leaves no mess and has 500 times the power of Uranium. The closest place is Jupiter and you can start finding it 3-5 miles below the surface and there is a setback. In the first that stuff can never be on earth. If you would ‘hide’ a piece of Klaventium the size of a rice grain in an envelope, set in a hidden corner on Fifth Avenue and 23rd Street. Whatever comes within 80 meters of the place will die in 30 days, it is radiation poisoning on steroids.  There is no cure and klaventium will not leave any normal signal like gamma radiation, it is out of our scope to monitor it and it is a way to deal with the surplus population, but not in a nice way. Also mining that stuff can only be done by reinforced droids or drones). Yet the impact on engines will be seen, a 7ft container will be enough to power a ship the size of one of those star wars vehicles all the way to Alpha Centauri with a compliment of 250,000 people. The downside is that all fusion goes wrong at some point, there is no solution, things happen and when fusion goes bad, the ship will be gone, there is no exception and anyone say there is is out of his (or her) mind.

The third element
This is the problem and it is a universal one. We need an essential part, a noble gas named Celestrium. It has a very nice side effect and the problem is that there is only one place in the universe where this stuff can be found (It is not Arrakis). You see Celestrium can only be found in a system with multiple stars (like Binary and tertiary systems). When the stars get close enough the rays will have a nice side effect. As EVERY star has a different frequency, two stars will create an area of effect. This creates Celestrium and the side effect is that Celestrium stops fusion, it inhibits it. It is the universe way of stopping suns to become a little too hot tempered. And there is the one element every Engineer in the universe needs. Celestrium! And it also answers the question where life is. It is not on that system, binary or tertiary systems do not allow for temperate planets. But the star adjacent to it will and there is your answer. You see, when this gas in mined the radiation print will change, it will fluctuate between values, when normally that is a scientific impossibility, mining is the answer to that impossibility. So if we had a powerful telescope like the James Webb Space Telescope, we could monitor these worlds. For us, I reckon about 50 of them should be within scanning range, so the search for life went from quadrillion to 50 in mere seconds.

Not bad?

So when my diary in the future states “I have had magnificent sex with a beautiful Swedish woman, and I got a Nobel price to boot. Today my life is awesome! (Many thanks to the Nobel committee in Stockholm)” I will not be kidding!

Have a lovely day and let your imagination run amok with you too! It might make your day less dreary.

The unsettling realisation

There is a stage we all see, it is not the same for all. We see it, but the words do not completely come, there is a sort of disjointment between what we see, what we perceive and what we think is right. It was all over the field when it came to blow in my mind with a Reuters article. Weirdly enough they gave the pieces, the missing pieces to form the new image, an image I did relate to and as such the article becomes a reality.

The article in question is the article (at https://www.reuters.com/technology/elon-musks-twitter-suspension-journalists-draws-global-backlash-2022-12-16/) giving us ‘Elon Musk restores Twitter accounts of journalists but concerns persist’, you see, the elements start with “The reinstatements came after the unprecedented suspensions evoked stinging criticism from government officials, advocacy groups and journalism organisations from several parts of the globe on Friday, with some saying the microblogging platform was jeopardising press freedom” My initial response is that if these idiots did their job, their proper jobs, their credibility would not be on level -23. They did this to themselves.

When you whore for digital dollars there in a consequence. In addition players like the NY Times print not properly vetted information (see one of my previous articles on the subject). The press does not bring freedom. It brings us filtered information. Information that is approved by share holders, stake holders and advertisers. So stop talking about the freedom of the press. Start doing your bloody jobs or become Uber drivers, they have a shortage at present. So when we get “A Reuters check showed the suspended accounts, which included journalists from the New York Times, CNN and the Washington Post, have been reinstated.” We do not get a clear picture on why certain issues happened, in case of the NY Times I could speculate but this is larger. These people REFUSED to do their jobs when there was time to openly ask Jack Dorsey for answers, there was time to give a clear response towards a stage where a company was overvalued by close to 100%, but you did not do ANYTHING, did you?

And for the man blocking Elon Musk with a facial covering with license plate CJ82G38? Did you do anything, did you report on who the man was, was the car stolen, was there anything? No, you merely try to collect on digital dollars, didn’t you?

In that same setting there is an issue with “The German Foreign Office warned Twitter that the ministry had a problem with moves that jeopardised press freedom.” We get that, but when the press isn’t taking its ‘responsibilities’ serious, should we give them any consideration? And with that we get the second part that rubbed ME the wrong way. It was “Melissa Fleming, head of communications for the United Nations, tweeted she was “deeply disturbed” by the suspensions and that “media freedom is not a toy.”” Well, see what pot is calling the kettle black. The UN made its own bed with stupid settings regarding Jeff Bezos (an anti-Saudi stage) and a few others. If the United Nations actually get things done and focussed on areas like Syria and Yemen and got communications on Houthi terrorist events started the people might get informed at some point. For example the Middle East Monitor gives us “The US Special Envoy for Yemen, Tim Lenderking, said on Wednesday that the Houthis’ “maximalist demands” had hindered UN efforts to renew a six-month truce in the country that ended in October.” As such, these so called ‘culled’ papers. How much did they expose to the public of this? I think that Miss Fleming has other problems and making sure that the Press covers the actual news might be a clear first. It comes with the stage where she claims that media freedom is not a toy and it applies to the media just as much, in case she forgot.

So, I got that off my chest. You see, I cannot see if Elon Musk is guilty of anything at all, because we keep on getting one sided news from the media and they have no credibility left (as I personally see it).

I will let you consider who is correct and consider what you are shown, and what is trivialised by the media.

Creating a sleuth

That is part of the challenge for me today. You see, when I started to build the blocks for Keno Diastima season three, I mentioned (yesterday) that the cold war was part of it, as was the Truman Doctrine. Yet we need to see past the point, see more than the point covers. As such we need to look at the events like a sleuth. There is a call here. When is it approaching Sleuth (with Michael Caine and Laurence Olivier) and not Klute (with Donald Sutherland and Jane Fonda)? You see, we can make the events fall both or either. So we have a person shot and the immediate witnesses call for one, all whilst the monitoring station would see another angle and when the image is completed we see that there were more parties available, as such the direct stage fails, it only works when these parties are the only ones there. But when we add two players we get a new premise. Why two? Is it because it worked or is it because it is the only way it could have worked? What if the second player is around because that is the only way the patsy would have fallen for it? Consider a child being the second party and it is merely there for the mother to spin the yarn and set up the patsy, because that is the only way the patsy would have fallen for the ruse. These elements matter when the game is not merely misdirection, but to set a stage where the reader will fall for it as well. We need to set a strong ruse, not merely for the parties involved, but one where the reader of the story falls for it as well. That was seemingly the element I have been dreaming of.

There are a few methods and I am looking into that, but the entirety works even better if I employ another part and that would work better, as such the idea would become a larger stage and that is where I make the change to [spoiler deleted for future required part]. Yes, this might work too and it gives me a few additional options. The nice part is that I would not need to make alterations, I merely need to shape certain events to make it all fit better. The best murder I one where no one realises a murder has taken place. There is a satisfying need to watch the police walk over their own evidence scene. If murder is about evidence, than the best stage is where the authorities destroyed their own evidence in the process, n’est-ce pas?

It almost reflects on another premise I had years ago, but never used it. What if the assassin gets a law degree, not because he wants to be in law, but to make that person a better assassin? If the law rely on the rules of evidence, than a hitman would be willing to spend 2 semesters in law school to learn what drives these two parties (law and police) to gather evidence. It would not be enough, but it could show what to place where to make the scent go in another direction. In that same manner the BI specialist could be used to set the inquisitive foot of investor in other directions and there the stage of academics come into play. Their reliance on measuring is knowing becomes a new stage. What is measured and what do they know because of it? Now for some the Klute/Sleuth link becomes more clear and it matters. You see planning a political stage, not the one history teaches us (Truman Doctrine) but the stage that it offers in addition, that I where we need to go and planning for this requires more than a leap of faith, we need to make sure that ‘history’ supports that leap. If it does the entire chocolaty part of the lolly will be swallowed almost without question.

That was the part that kept me up and now that I know where to look, or better what to look for gives me a handle on how the story progresses next. So, as I see it season three of Keno Diastima might take a little more work than I figured on.

Have a great weekend, just two weeks until that end of year moment.
